Tran Phuong Mai (from Ninh Binh) is the owner of a fresh flower - designed gift brand, operating in Nha Trang, Hanoi and Ninh Binh.

Breakthrough thinking

Mai is observant and eager to learn. Despite the difficulties, she continues to look for opportunities, maintains a positive mindset, plans every activity and prepares for risks. This trait has helped her when changing career paths.

Phuong Mai hopes to contribute to redefining the flower industry: not just selling flowers, but providing services, taking care of customers' emotions, creating meaningful things.

Graduated from the Television major - Academy of Journalism and Propaganda, the 9X girl used to work in a field that was suitable for her studies. But her love of beauty and passion for creativity led her to become a fresh flower designer and full-time businesswoman. Flowery Garden by Maifam was incubated in 2022, in the form of an online flower shop in Hanoi. She hopes that people can feel secure in sending messages through bouquets and gifts. In 2024, Flowery Garden opened in Nha Trang - a garden flower shop with a classic and romantic style, a check-in location that attracts tourists. In 2025, there will be a new facility in Ninh Binh , still with a garden style, unique and youthful.

At the beginning of the journey, Mai was still an office worker, with almost no experience in running a flower shop. The only advantage at that time was that the economy was recovering after the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for emotional care, experiences and spiritual values increased. From the second half of 2023 to the end of 2024, due to the impact of the market, the demand for fresh flowers decreased sharply. "Not having enough capital and limited financial management knowledge made me struggle. To maintain growth and breakthrough, I had to seriously look at each problem of myself and my staff" - Mai recalled. She set more specific and short-term revenue targets, promoted product improvement - customer care services and strengthened her skills to make a difference. Instead of serving many customer segments, the shop strengthened its presence with the target customer base, not lowering prices even in the low season to maintain brand value; Expanding cooperation to the fields of fashion, photography, F&B to create a service ecosystem that meets many customer needs. Mai is about to open a third facility. According to her, if you do not dare to try, you will not know whether you are successful or not. However, young people should prepare their health, finances, spirit, good knowledge and do not forget to "take advantage" of the support of family and friends. "Starting a business is not a game, it is a long-term race that requires courage and endurance to pursue" - Mai shared.

For Phuong Mai and Duy Hien, changing careers is not simply about changing jobs - but about listening to yourself, accepting challenges and starting over.

Dare to dream, dare to act

For Ly Nguyen Duy Hien (31 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), every choice is worthwhile, every trip is an opportunity to see the world and balance his inner self.

Duy Hien's journey is increasingly rich, not simply a travel experience but also an opportunity to expand his circle of connections and meet special people.

Duy Hien is a travel content creator with videos spreading inspiration for exploration and camping experiences through the YouTube channel "IKUBAI - minivan camper". "Ikubai" is a dialect from the Hakata region (Japan) meaning "to go" and is also the turning point that reminds him of the first time he stepped out of his comfort zone and pursued what he loved.

Before becoming a traveler telling stories through visual language, Hien had a childhood of illiteracy. As a 9-year-old boy who still could not read or write, Hien went through a long journey of effort from literacy classes to graduating from the University of Architecture, Ho Chi Minh City. He held the position of an engineer designing odor treatment systems for a Japanese company's factory. In addition, Hien also had a part-time job as a freelance tour guide, specializing in leading tours for Japanese and Vietnamese guests. Thanks to that, he accumulated skills in observation, communication, and situation handling, especially knowledge about the cultures of the two countries. With a good income and development prospects in the industry, Hien still wanted to leave the mold of the professional environment to realize the goal of traveling around the world. At the end of 2024, Hien quit his job to wholeheartedly pursue his dream after 4 years of nurturing it.

He and his "companion", a minivan that is more than 30 years old, travel through many places, quietly connecting with nature. Hien personally converted the car into a "mobile temporary home" with all the basic amenities such as: a folding bed in the car, sleeping bag, camping equipment, mini kitchen, medical kit, flashlight, spare battery, water and trash bags. Although living in a small space, he is aware of the importance of living green - clean - quality. The trips are often short and low cost. Hien diligently records slices of nature and life through deep frames, keeping the original sound of the scene. The video without commentary creates a more realistic and seamless feeling.

Hien often plans early, learns about the characteristics of local residents, and carefully studies the camping site, from terrain, weather, insects to how to protect property. He summarizes lessons on handling situations and survival skills such as saving water, repairing vehicles and cooking. Once camping on the lakeside near a residential area, he accidentally met children who were "homeschooling" whose families followed the philosophy of home education and designed their own curriculum for their children instead of going to school. Unexpected meetings give him the opportunity to learn from many strangers and reflect on education, responsibility and different directions from the majority. "Temporarily disconnecting from social networks and traveling a lot helps me have a new way of thinking, feeling everything clearly. Each journey leaves me with contemplation about humanity, emotions and connection. Through that, I learn to live a more minimalist, independent and profound life" - Hien confided.
