During the implementation, the investor fenced off the project area, and the daily passage of the people was also blocked. In response to the above incident, the people reported to the People's Committee of Ward 9, requesting a solution to facilitate people's daily travel and activities.
Upon receiving the request, on May 22, the People's Committee of Ward 9 in coordination with the Department of Economics , Infrastructure and Urban Areas of Ca Mau City contacted directly with the representative of Asia Infrastructure Development and Construction Joint Stock Company (investor) to find a solution. However, the investor's representative said that the implementation of the project's technical infrastructure was carried out in accordance with the policy within the land area assigned by the competent authority and construction permit. Therefore, the resolution of the temporary passage was requested to be reported to the People's Committee of Ca Mau City for consideration.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuong, one of the affected households, said: “For more than a month, many people have gone to the People's Committee of Ward 9 and the People's Committee of Ca Mau City to ask about the results of the handling, but when they went to the ward, they were directed to the City People's Committee; when they went to the City People's Committee, they were directed to the ward, so they don't know where to find a permanent solution. We have lived here stably for many years, the residential road is our daily commute to make a living. Now the investor has fenced off the road, how can people get around?”
On June 24, through the Ca Mau Province e-Government application (CaMau-G), the People's Committee of Ca Mau City (old) continued to respond to the people that it had directed the Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Areas to coordinate with the People's Committee of Ward 9 and related units to work with the construction unit to create favorable conditions for people to travel as soon as possible.
