On the afternoon of September 15, a representative of the Department of Food Safety (DFS) of Ho Chi Minh City informed Dan Tri reporter that the unit is coordinating with local authorities and the Board of Directors of Nguyen Van Triet Primary School (Linh Xuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to investigate the case of many students at this place showing signs of suspected food poisoning.
According to initial information, after the meal at Nguyen Van Triet Primary School on the opening day, from the evening of September 5 to the morning of September 6, dozens of students showed unusual symptoms such as stomachache, diarrhea, fever... Many cases later had to go to the hospital for a health check.
"We have received this information and are handling the incident," said the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety.

Since mid-July, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety has coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to organize 7 training courses for leaders, medical staff of schools, international schools and affiliated units.
Contents include: granting food safety certificates for boarding kitchens, self-inspection management, hazard identification, traceability, food monitoring, coordination in handling poisoning and sanctions for violations.
At the same time, the Department of Food Safety also provided training specifically for food processing staff at the dormitories and canteens of Ho Chi Minh City National University. The activity aimed to ensure that students and residents could use safe food and prevent food poisoning.
