The Provincial Cooperative Union coordinated with the People's Committee of Lang Chanh district and the unit in charge of the linkage to inspect and evaluate the native duck farming model in Tri Nang commune.

From June to August 2024, the Provincial Cooperative Union coordinated with the People's Committee of Lang Chanh district and the leading unit, Vinaco Agricultural Investment and Development Cooperative, to organize training on livestock breeding processes and techniques, and methods of linking and consuming products in production. At the same time, 5,019 ducklings and more than 17.56 tons of mixed feed were given to 113 households in Tri Nang commune.

According to the report of the unit in charge of the association, after more than 2 months of implementation, the number of supported ducks is growing and developing stably, ensuring the requirements of the project. At the same time, bringing practical economic and social efficiency to the people.

The supported ducks are growing and developing stably.

The total number of ducks distributed met the breeding standards, were vaccinated properly, so they grew and developed well, with a survival rate of over 96%. Currently, in some households, the ducks have reached a weight of 1.5-2 kg, meeting the standards of commercial ducks. In addition, for households maintaining egg-laying duck flocks, the unit in charge of the association has linked up and sought out outlets for the people to consume the products.

Delegates and households participating in the project all agreed that this is a duck farming model that follows biosafety standards, suitable for the customs and production level of the people. The model is expected to bring higher economic efficiency than the traditional production of the people. At the same time, it contributes to changing production thinking, increasing income and helping local people escape poverty sustainably.
