Review and summarize VAPA activities in 2024

(NADS) - On the morning of November 15, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists held the 13th Executive Committee Meeting of the 9th term. The conference was attended by all 11 Executive Committee members, chaired by National Assembly member, Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

National Assembly Deputy, Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literary and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists chaired the Conference.

In 2024, Vietnamese Photography is associated with many major events of the country such as the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory, the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital and activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification, and implementing the 10th Congress Plan.

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists successfully organized the Conference of Branch Presidents of the North and South regions: the South (from Da Nang and further south) and the Discussion on "Development orientation of Vietnamese photographic art" in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province from March 9 to 13, 2024; the North (from Thua Thien Hue and further south from October 6 to 10, 2024), the Discussion on Development orientation of Vietnamese photographic art in Vinh city, Nghe An province.

Continue to closely coordinate with departments, ministries and branches to organize national art photography contests: Vietnam Art Photography Contest 2024 (in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism); The 3rd National Art Photography Contest and Exhibition "Pride of a Border" (in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department); Photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024" (in coordination with the Ministry of Information and Communications); a number of other contests in coordination with large corporations, companies and units: EVN Electricity Group, Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group...

The Executive Committee, professional committees and the Art Council of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists will continue the following activities: reviewing the Outstanding Photography Award; reviewing Creative Support; reviewing the conferment of Artist Titles; reviewing the admission of new members; reviewing and selecting typical works commemorating the 50th anniversary of national reunification; and holding a summary meeting of the Councils and committees of the Association in the following working sessions from November 15 to 19.
