The Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign will be implemented from June 2023 to the end of August 2023, with the motto "widespread - safe - effective - sustainable".

Promoting the pioneering and creative role, applying digital transformation in activities, in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union of the province have actively applied digital transformation to attract, manage and coordinate resources for volunteer activities in the area.

Propaganda work to raise awareness about the role of volunteering activities has been promoted, with a focus on diversifying forms in mass media, digital platforms, social networks and other media.

Media publications such as: reports, infographics, motion graphics, posters, newsletters, are designed harmoniously and beautifully, articles are presented in Emagazine format to suit young readers on social networking sites Facebook, Zalo, Tiktok...

Youth volunteer teams are allocated to operate through a volunteer resource network system.

The Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union are also pioneers in applying digital transformation in connecting and coordinating volunteer activities; integrating volunteer registration information with QR codes. Volunteers, wherever they are, only need a smartphone, scan the code to access information such as: time, location, needs, resources for volunteer activities...

Throughout the 2023 summer volunteer campaign, many digital transformation models were effectively deployed.

The Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee continues to direct the effective implementation of the plan to coordinate with the Provincial Police to carry out the campaign to guide the installation of VNeID, contributing to making Ha Tinh one of the four provinces to complete the target of activating electronic identification accounts.

The project "Youth Data Digitization" was implemented with the aim of creating a digital space for young people to easily access and update content and information related to local union - association - team activities; Youth Law, support policies for young people in starting a business and establishing a career; grasping the processes and regulations on administrative procedures...

The Provincial Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Union have also actively coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications to organize programs to improve digital transformation capacity for young union members and apply digital transformation to serve the construction of new rural areas, towards smart new rural areas in localities throughout the province.

The whole province launched a QR code project to promote historical relics, digitize youth knowledge, digitize information of 105 village cultural houses; install 18 transmission lines and cameras at one-stop transaction points at the commune level...

Actively applying digital transformation in implementing volunteer activities has contributed to the flexible and effective implementation of activities, strongly promoting the spirit of shock, volunteerism, creativity as well as the pioneering role of youth in digital transformation.

Outstanding results from “3 links” and peak volunteer days

"Uniting forces - Uniting localities - Uniting communities" is a policy that Ha Tinh youth have promoted and has brought about effectiveness in the 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.

100% of the Youth Unions in the province have carried out "joining forces" with the police, military , workers, women, farmers and people in organizing activities. At the same time, "joining localities" between urban and rural areas in implementing the movement to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, bringing resources to support disadvantaged villages and communes, remote areas, and localities that are completing the criteria for building new rural areas.

Along with that is the "community connection" between youth organizations, associations, clubs, teams, groups with individuals and volunteer organizations, connecting green summer volunteer teams to volunteer activities in the area.

Mr. Duong Hanh Dat - Secretary of Huong Khe District Youth Union said: "The implementation of "3 links" in implementing activities has brought positive results, especially in building new rural areas. Specifically, the District Youth Union has proactively coordinated with units such as: Provincial Youth Union of State Agencies and Enterprises, Provincial Youth Union... to mobilize resources to support Ha Linh and Dien My communes to build new rural areas; proactively connected 3 volunteer student teams from Hanoi and Nghe An to deploy the green summer campaign in Dien My, Huong Lien, Huong Trach communes...".

It is worth mentioning that during this time, the force of union officials, union members, association members, young intellectuals and doctors of Ha Tinh joined together to carry out an international volunteer trip in Laos, organized medical examinations and provided medicine to more than 1,000 people, and implemented a series of activities with a total value of more than 300 million VND.

In addition, a series of peak volunteer days have left a good impression of the green volunteer shirt such as: Volunteer Soldiers' Day for Beloved Juniors; Peak Day of Joining Hands to Build New Rural Areas and Green Sunday; Gratitude Activities, Repaying Gratitude on July 27; Peak Day of Volunteer Soldiers for Civilized Urban Areas and Supporting People in Performing Online Public Services, Handling Administrative Procedures; Peak Day of Activities to Show Gratitude to Youth Volunteers; Youth Creativity Festival, Start-ups and Participation in Digital Transformation...

After 3 months of implementing the summer youth volunteer campaign with 4 campaigns and 1 program, the youth of the whole province mobilized more than 85,000 youth union members to clean the environment, collect and treat 40 tons of waste; level and build nearly 200 km of rural roads; donate 15 children's playgrounds; start construction of 32 charity houses; deploy 2,330 works of gratitude, repay kindness, give more than 12,800 gifts with a total value of more than 3.2 billion VND; and admit 451 new party members.

The 2023 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has created a widespread, positive spread, with good effects in the social community. Activities are widely deployed in all fields, with many innovations and creativity in the way of doing things, thereby promoting youth and intelligence in participating in supporting tasks in each locality, unit as well as social issues.

In the coming time, the Youth Union at all levels will continue to promote the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism of young people, focus on educating revolutionary ideals and ethics for young people, carry out revolutionary action movements well, especially actively participate in the digital transformation process, contributing to socio-economic development.
