The Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil, Industrial and Technical Infrastructure Works of Da Nang - the project investor, said that the project to build a new 400-bed inpatient treatment block and upgrade and renovate the Da Nang Oncology Hospital aims to upgrade the entire hospital to a scale of 1,000 beds by 2030.
Regarding the project of building a new 400-bed hospital block with a scale of 10 floors + technical floor; construction area of 3,369m2 , with a total construction floor area of 25,261m2 .
Renovation and upgrading of existing buildings, including a 3-storey multi-functional technical block + semi-basement + technical floor; a 10-storey inpatient block + basement + technical floor (increasing the scale of medical examination and treatment from 500 to 600 beds); a 4-storey administrative area + attic.
The total investment of the project is more than 988.6 billion VND, from the city budget; implementation period is from 2025 - 2029.
A representative of the Da Nang Oncology Hospital said that the hospital's facilities are in a state of disrepair, with limited space, unable to meet the increasing needs of examination and treatment of the people. Therefore, investing in the construction and upgrading of the Da Nang Oncology Hospital is extremely necessary to ensure the quality of examination and treatment for patients in the future.
According to the Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the City People's Council, Quang Van Ngoc, the committees of the City People's Council all expressed their strong support for this policy. This is a project of profound humanitarian significance, contributing to improving the quality of treatment for cancer patients in the city in general and the Central region in particular.
In order for the project to be implemented soon, it is necessary to pay attention to the quality of the project and the efficiency of exploitation during the implementation process. At the same time, it is requested that the competent authorities urgently complete and submit for approval the detailed planning, ensuring conformity with the general planning of the city.
