Regarding the traffic diversion plan, cars temporarily banned from National Highway 5, Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway, Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway when going to Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway must move through Thanh Tri Bridge - Elevated Ring Road 3 - Do Muoi Interchange - Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway.

Vehicles from the east (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh ,...) going to the north, west, northwest (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang...) follow the route: Phu Dong bridge - Thanh Tri bridge - Ring road 3 above - Thang Long bridge - Vo Van Kiet... Or go from National Highway 5 - Nguyen Duc Thuan - Thanh Tri bridge approach road - Phu Dong bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway - Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway to Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang provinces... and vice versa.

Vehicles from northern provinces (Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho...) to the south (Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa...) follow the route: National Highway 2 - Vo Van Kiet - Thang Long Bridge - Elevated Ring Road 3 - Do Muoi Interchange - Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway.

For trucks with a total designed weight of 10 tons or more traveling on the elevated Ring Road 3, they are restricted from going to intersections on Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Khuat Duy Tien, and Nguyen Xien streets and must comply with the direction of the authorities.

Hanoi City Police require drivers not to stop or park their vehicles on roads where traffic is prohibited or temporarily banned.

According to the plan, the general training of the armed forces will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 21 and 24 at Ba Dinh Square. It is expected that more than 16,000 soldiers will participate in the general training, with a formation of 17 standing units and 58 marching and parading units.

54 streets completely ban vehicles

To serve the general practice session, 54 streets in Hanoi will ban vehicles (except vehicles with security badges, vehicles serving the celebration) during the above time frame including: Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (from Hung Vuong to Van Cao), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Thanh Nien, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Dien Bien Phu.

Nghi Tam, Yen Phu, Cua Bac, Doi Can, Doc La Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (from Le Duan to Quang Trung), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, Phan Chu Trinh (from Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien); Le Thanh Tong, Tong Dan (from Ly Dao Thanh to Trang Tien), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du.

Quang Trung (from Ly Thuong Kiet to Trang Thi), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (from State Bank Square to Trang Tien), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, Lang (from Lang Ha to Tran Duy Hung).

The 80th anniversary celebration of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, will take place at 6:30 a.m. on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square (Ba Dinh Ward) and several central streets of the capital.

It is expected that after the general training of the armed forces at 8:00 p.m. on August 21 and 24, the state-level preliminary review will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 27. The state-level general review will take place at 6:30 a.m. on August 30.

How to get around when Hanoi closes the roads to practice for the parade?

People are advised to take buses and trains to watch the rehearsal and parade.

Hanoi City Police recommends that people from provinces and localities coming to the capital to attend the celebration activities should use passenger cars, public transport, especially the elevated train (route 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong, route 3 Nhon - Hanoi station).

At the same time, people can walk on some streets in the wards of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, Hai Ba Trung, Giang Vo, Ngoc Ha and locations around Ba Dinh Square; pay attention to follow the instructions of the authorities, stand on the sidewalk, do not jostle, spill onto the street causing obstruction to marching groups, parades, and marches.
