"Honoring culinary culture titles is not only a tribute to those who have devoted their lives to their homeland, but also a strategic step to affirm the Vietnamese culinary brand" - Chairman of the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association Nguyen Quoc Ky shared at the launching ceremony.
Elevating Vietnamese culinary culture
Culinary culture is Vietnam's strength and makes an important contribution to the world culinary map. This assertion was given by Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky with specific examples.
Several years ago, Kuwait asked Vietnam to help send two good chefs to a luxury hotel in the country to introduce traditional Vietnamese dishes.

According to the plan, the two chefs worked to introduce Vietnamese dishes for 2 weeks. However, in reality, they had to stay and work in Kuwait for nearly 2 months. The reason was that there were too many customers coming to enjoy Vietnamese dishes and all praised them as delicious.
"This event opens up a new direction. We can "export" Vietnamese chefs abroad to promote Vietnamese cuisine. Currently, the association has also received similar requests," Mr. Nguyen Quoc Ky emphasized.
Therefore, according to Mr. Ky, awarding Vietnamese culinary culture titles is a strong driving force to bring our culinary quintessence to the world, along with the goal of making Vietnam a leading destination for culture and culinary tourism ."
The program does not stop at awarding titles, but also serves as a basis for building a data system on artisans, experts, and culinary researchers, promoting training activities, passing on skills to the younger generation, and creating conditions for artisans to have more opportunities to participate in national and international culinary events.
Spread in the community, reach international level
The annual organization of the Awarding of Vietnamese Culinary Culture Titles will gradually form a tradition of honor, contributing to bringing the culinary profession on par with other artistic professions in the national cultural life. This is an important step in preparation for the establishment of the National Culinary Awards.

Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisans are selected at three levels: Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisans, Vietnamese Culinary Culture Elite Artisans and National Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisans.
These are professional titles awarded to individuals with outstanding contributions in the culinary field, meeting the criteria of talent, dedication, social influence and spirit of preserving cultural heritage.
In addition, the program will also consider and honor two categories: Vietnamese Culinary Culture Ambassador and Vietnamese Culinary Culture Researcher.
There are two admission rounds:
From now until November: Consider the title of Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisan.
From November: Consider the titles of Vietnamese Culinary Culture Researcher and Vietnamese Culinary Culture Ambassador.
According to the organizers, the selection process is transparent, non-profit and non-commercial. Candidates or nominating units do not pay any fees.
The Vietnamese Culinary Culture Artisan Award Ceremony is expected to take place in November.
