On the afternoon of July 19, the Admissions Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced the threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) for regular university programs in 2024 for the admission method based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Floor scores increased in 2 industries

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Khoi - head of the school's training department, the floor score for 15 university training majors that the school has just announced is from 19 to 24 points.

"The highest minimum score belongs to the two majors of medicine and dentistry, which is 24 points. The minimum score for these two majors is 0.5 points higher than in 2023. The minimum score for the remaining majors remains unchanged compared to last year," Mr. Khoi shared.

The floor score the school has just announced applies to the admission method combined with the preliminary selection of international English certificates.

Candidates should note that the floor score is the lowest score (according to the admission combination) that candidates can register for admission in the 2024 high school graduation exam score review method. This is not the admission score.

Register your admission wishes on the common system

Regarding the method of registering admission wishes, candidates register on the admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training , with no limit on the number of admission wishes until 5:00 p.m. on July 30.

Candidates can adjust and add to their admission wishes without any limit. Candidates must complete the application process correctly and completely on the Ministry's system.

After successfully registering, candidates must pay the admission fee according to the number of wishes registered for admission online on the Ministry's system, within the prescribed time limit. In case the candidate has not paid the admission fee, the system will not accept the candidate's application for admission.

Time to pay admission fees according to the number of registered wishes: from July 31 to 5:00 p.m. August 6.

Refer to the benchmark in 2023

Meanwhile, the benchmark scores for majors based on the 2023 high school graduation exam scores of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy range from 19 points (public health major) to 27.34 points (medicine major).

The standard score for this method of dentistry is 26.96 points.

Pharmacy major is recruited based on two groups (B00 and A00) with the same admission score of 25.5 points.

For the admission method combined with international English certificate preliminary selection, the admission score is lower in "hot" majors: medicine 27.1 points, pharmacy 24 points, dentistry 26.75 points.

Admission score includes bonus points according to regulations.
