Forests in the province are characterized by many rare species of animals and plants with high conservation value. Notable areas are: Cat Tien National Park, Bu Gia Map National Park, Dong Nai Nature and Culture Reserve...

In recent years, thanks to the attention paid to forest management and protection in the former Binh Phuoc and former Dong Nai provinces, the forest area and forest cover ratio have been maintained. There have been no major violations that have seriously affected forest resources. Many projects, plans, and schemes for exploiting values associated with protecting forest resources have been issued and effectively implemented. Notable among these are the exploitation of forest ecotourism, forest allocation to people, conservation and propagation of rare species, etc.
