Through the inspection, the working group highly appreciated the initiative of the Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station in storm prevention work. The unit has strictly maintained combat readiness and closely coordinated with the local authorities of Nui Thanh and Tam Hai communes to survey and take statistics of vulnerable areas.
The unit promptly informed the direction of the storm, guiding the owners and captains to escape the danger zone. As a result, 26 vessels with 260 workers were called to move safely; 23 other vessels and 231 workers were mobilized to anchor and take shelter.
Vessel counting and management work is maintained continuously to ensure maximum safety for people and vehicles at sea.
At the same time, the unit has completed the reinforcement of barracks, housing, and anti-erosion embankments, and has also inspected and maintained the surveillance camera system and high-power lighting. All materials and equipment for disaster prevention and search and rescue have been prepared.

The Military Region 5 delegation requested the Ky Ha Port Border Guard Station to continue to strictly maintain the on-duty regime and enhance the sense of responsibility of all officers and soldiers. The unit needs to maintain a smooth communication channel with the government and the people, thoroughly implement the "four on-site" motto to be ready to deploy rescue missions and support people to overcome the consequences as soon as storm No. 10 makes landfall.
