Dien Bien province delegation visited and worked with the Mayor of Higashiosaka city (Japan)

The visit aims to enhance exchange, cooperation, understanding and mutual trust, creating a connection between Dien Bien province, Vietnam and Higashiosaka city, Japan; creating an important and meaningful milestone, contributing to fostering the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Yoshikazu Noda, Mayor of Higashiosaka City and delegates of Higashiosaka City. Also attending was Mr. Ngo Trinh Ha, Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka.

At the working session, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong informed the Mayor of Higashiosaka City about the characteristics, situation, potentials and advantages of Dien Bien province with "agriculture and forestry as the foundation, construction as the driving force, tourism as the spearhead economic sector and processing industry and electricity industry as important". Dien Bien province wishes to expand and improve the quality of international cooperation, serving the goal of socio-economic development; encourage and create all favorable conditions for Japanese organizations and individuals to visit and learn about cooperation and investment opportunities in Dien Bien. The working delegation proposed to promote cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, labor, employment, labor export for localities and enterprises of Higashiosaka in the fields of agriculture, construction, nursing...

In recent years, in relations with Japanese partners, Dien Bien has regularly sent representatives to participate in meetings with Japanese partners organized by the Central Government; participated in coordination with Japanese partners to organize events to celebrate the Vietnam-Japan friendship and promote Japanese culture such as the Cherry Blossom Festival - Pa Khoang - Dien Bien. The Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam has visited and worked in Dien Bien in each term; Japanese Embassy staff regularly participate in working delegations within the framework of programs and projects supported by Japanese organizations.
