'Enterprises and entrepreneurs carry out 5 pioneering actions to develop with the country'

The Prime Minister said that the Government and ministries and branches focus on implementing six key tasks so that businesses and entrepreneurs can grow and contribute to the country's development.

Concluding the meeting between the Government Standing Committee and businessmen and business representatives on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day on the morning of October 4, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Government, ministries, branches and localities will carry out 6 key tasks and asked businesses and businessmen to take 5 pioneering actions to grow and develop together with the country.

During nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation policy, with the correct policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, the Vietnamese business community has grown strongly in both quantity and quality, increasingly affirming its role and making important contributions to the cause of national construction and defense; a number of businesses have developed to regional and world levels, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena.

Currently, our country has more than 930 thousand active enterprises, about 14.4 thousand cooperatives and more than 5 million business households. The business and entrepreneur force currently contributes about 60% of GDP, 85% of the total labor force, 98% of total import and export turnover; along with that, actively contributing to social security activities.

At the meeting, delegates, especially entrepreneurs, representatives of business leaders and business associations, shared stories about business and the social role of businesses; made recommendations, proposals, advice and suggestions to the Government and the Prime Minister to better support business development; and build an increasingly strong Vietnamese business community, contributing to the overall development of the country.

Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group Le Manh Hung suggested that the Government continue to promote institutional improvement to develop state-owned enterprises, including realizing decentralization and delegation of power to state-owned enterprises to perform tasks; having a mechanism to create resources for enterprises; having development orientations for economic sectors to develop each region and economic field...

Sharing business stories in international markets, with the support of Vietnam, General Director of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) Tao Duc Thang hopes that the Party and State will have a strategy for investing abroad; build "leading birds" and assign tasks to businesses to reach out to the world; continue to promote economic diplomacy, support businesses to confidently invest in the world.

Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises Nguyen Van Than said that currently, the financial resources among the people are very large, so the State should have a policy to attract capital from the people, especially from private enterprises to invest in large-scale projects and works of the country; propose that the State have a mechanism to assign some tasks, works, and state projects to private enterprises with enough capacity, experience, and prestige to undertake, helping enterprises grow stronger...

Mr. Le Hoang Chau, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association, expressed his joy and sincere thanks to the Government and the Prime Minister for truly creating and accompanying businesses, including real estate businesses, focusing on perfecting the legal system related to real estate and always listening, directing to remove difficulties, mobilizing all subjects to join hands to develop a healthy, safe and sustainable real estate market.

Mr. Le Hoang Chau hopes to effectively implement the policy of "not criminalizing civil and economic relations" so that businesses can feel secure and confident in developing, including developing social housing, and join the whole country in entering an era of development.

After the Deputy Prime Ministers and leaders of ministries and branches spoke, shared, and answered suggestions and recommendations from the business community, concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his confidence and pride in Vietnamese entrepreneurs and businesses that have overcome countless difficulties and challenges to grow, mature, and make important contributions to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

The Prime Minister said that enterprises and entrepreneurs are increasingly affirming their important position and role in the country's development; the Party and State always acknowledge, appreciate and pay attention to the development of Vietnamese enterprises and entrepreneurs; the Government concretizes the Party and State's guidelines, policies and laws in a practical, timely and effective manner; the team of enterprises and entrepreneurs has united and made efforts to grow stronger and stronger.

According to the Prime Minister, after 20 years since the establishment of Vietnam Entrepreneurs' Day, the Vietnamese business community has had strong development; the number of newly established businesses has continuously increased, which is a bright spot of the economy, reflecting the need and efforts for development in the context of the country still facing many difficulties and challenges.

Enterprises and entrepreneurs are present in almost all industries and fields of production and business, not only domestically but many enterprises and entrepreneurs have made a name for themselves, affirmed their brand value and reached out to the region and the world, contributing to bringing Vietnamese brands to the world and enhancing our country's position in the international arena.

Among them, there are national enterprises and large-scale economic groups, playing an important role, being the core and pioneering ones leading the development of industries, fields and the economy and contributing to the strong growth of the national brand; at the same time reaching out to regional and world markets such as corporations: Viettel, PVN, Vingroup, FPT, THACO, Hoa Phat, TH, Vinamilk...

The business community and business associations have promoted national spirit and sense of responsibility to society. Many business people have actively participated in social programs, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, gratitude programs, community programs, and have become more closely connected with the working class, farmers, and intellectuals, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc; regularly and actively contributing to the implementation of strategic breakthroughs in institutions, policy and law making.

Praising and appreciating the growth of businesses and entrepreneurs and sharing the difficulties and challenges that businesses and entrepreneurs face, the Prime Minister said that the Government and ministries and branches focus on implementing 6 key tasks for businesses and entrepreneurs to grow and contribute to the country's development.

In particular, the Government and ministries, branches and localities continue to create an open and favorable investment and business environment, especially building a socialist-oriented market economy institution, with fair and healthy competition among economic sectors; developing synchronous and comprehensive strategic infrastructure, including transport infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, healthcare, education, social infrastructure, culture and sports, contributing to reducing logistics costs, creating new development space and jobs; perfecting the modern corporate governance model, mobilizing all social resources for national development, with "open legal institutions, smooth infrastructure, smart governance."

Along with that, focus on training high-quality human resources for the country in general, for businesses and entrepreneurs in particular; protect the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and entrepreneurs, do not criminalize economic and civil relations; build a team of entrepreneurs and enterprises worthy of the country's historical and cultural traditions.

Promoting the motto of "talk less, do more," "what you say is what you do, what you commit to, you must carry out effectively and practically," Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh asked businesses and entrepreneurs to implement 5 pioneering actions.

In particular, pioneering in promoting 3 strategic breakthroughs that the Party and State have identified, including institutional breakthroughs, infrastructure breakthroughs, human resource breakthroughs, especially breakthroughs in socialist-oriented market economic institutions. Pioneering in developing science and technology, applying the achievements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, innovating to serve the renewal of traditional growth drivers, strongly promoting new growth drivers.

Pioneer in contributing to stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation, promoting growth, ensuring major balances of the economy. Pioneer in building and managing modern enterprises, contributing to building smart national governance, building a clean, honest government, serving the people. Pioneer in building the great national unity bloc, doing a good job in social security work.

With the spirit of "harmonious benefits, shared risks," "harmonious interests between the State, people, and businesses" and "listening and understanding together; sharing vision and action together; working together, enjoying together, winning together and developing together; enjoying joy, happiness and pride together," the Prime Minister hopes and believes that the Vietnamese business community and entrepreneurs will grow stronger and stronger, have many powerful national enterprises, demonstrate love for the country through concrete actions, for the benefit of the nation and people, contribute more to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, and together with the whole country to realize the goal that by 2030, our country will become a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045, it will become a developed country with high income./.
