Dong Thap and Tay Ninh accelerate the development of social housing.

Implementing the project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income earners and industrial park workers in the 2021-2030 period" according to the Government's policy, Dong Thap province was assigned by the Central Government to build 1,474 apartments in the 2025-2030 period.

This is an important task to meet the housing needs of low-income people and industrial park workers in the area.

To complete the target, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee of Dong Thap province directed departments, branches and localities to continue reviewing the current status of projects and working directly with each investor to get a commitment to implementation.

Projects that are behind schedule and have had their land allocated many times but not implemented will be revoked and handed over to other investors. At the same time, the province focuses on removing administrative procedures, shortening the time to process documents by 53%-54%, creating favorable conditions for projects to be implemented soon.

* In Tay Ninh , in order to meet the urgent need for social housing for workers and low-income people in the area, the province also focused on implementing many solutions to complete the target of 80,240 units in the 2025-2030 period according to the Government's Project.

According to the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, in recent years, the province's socio -economic development has grown rapidly, attracting more than 37,000 enterprises and nearly 1,900 FDI projects, bringing with it a large number of immigrant workers. This has created great pressure on housing, especially in industrial zones.

Implementing the Prime Minister's direction, the province established a Steering Committee for social housing development, issued annual plans and included social housing targets in the system of socio-economic targets.

To date, Tay Ninh has completed 13 social housing projects with 4,358 apartments. By the end of 2025, the province plans to implement 20 new projects, providing over 10,000 more social housing units.
