Ho Chi Minh City tourism earns nearly 8,000 billion on the occasion of Tet At Ty

On the evening of January 31 (the third day of the Lunar New Year), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism issued a preliminary report on the tourism situation for the Lunar New Year 2025. Notably, the city's tourism revenue is estimated at about VND 7,690 billion.

This unit said that the tourism industry will reap a bumper harvest thanks to the number of international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City during the Lunar New Year 2025, estimated at about 87,358, an increase of 16.5% over the same period in 2024 (75,000 in 2024). Visitors to tourist areas, attractions, entertainment and service venues... are estimated at about 2,100,000, an increase of 16.7% over the same period in 2024 (1,800,000 in 2024).

The number of guests staying at accommodation establishments is estimated at about 150,000, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2024 (135,000 in 2024). Room occupancy is estimated at about 65%, an increase of 44.4% over the same period in 2024 (45% in 2024).

According to preliminary reports from travel businesses, preparations to serve tourists have been implemented since the last months of 2024. Businesses have launched many new tourism products with competitive prices and many preferential policies.

The weather during the holidays is favorable for outdoor activities.
