After the merger, Phu Tho has over 1,950 educational facilities, with about 970 thousand students at all levels, becoming one of the three localities with the largest educational scale in the country.

The province currently has more than 60,000 managers, teachers and staff. The team of managers, teachers and staff is basically sufficient in quantity, ensuring structure and quality. However, the number of teachers is still short of the regulation, which is about 2,500 positions.

The rate of solidification of schools and classrooms is over 90%. The rate of schools meeting national standards in the whole province is about 83%; however, there is still a significant difference between localities in the province, especially in mountainous communes, remote areas, and ethnic minority areas. Teaching equipment has been gradually improved, but additional investment is still needed to meet the requirements of the new program.

After the consolidation, the province's education and training results continued to affirm themselves in the top of the country. The graduation exam results for the 2024-2025 school year ranked Phu Tho province 5th out of 34 provinces. Key education achieved many outstanding results, with many consecutive years of excellent students in the region and internationally.

According to the leader of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Tho, on the basis of the high educational achievements of the three former provinces, the quality of mass education and key education continues to be maintained and has room for strong development. This is an important advantage to orient the comprehensive development of education, improve the quality of human resources and realize the goals of transforming the educational model in the integration period.

Taking education quality as the center

With the goal of developing Phu Tho education in the period of 2025-2030 according to a comprehensive - modern - humane - effective model, taking quality as the center, efficiency as the measure, and integration as the driving force. The provincial education sector focuses on 3 breakthroughs: Digital transformation in education, teaching foreign languages, information technology and training high-quality human resources. We hope that the province will issue a specialized Resolution on the strategy for education and training development in Phu Tho province until 2030, with a vision to 2045. Prioritize investment from the education budget. In particular, recruit additional teachers and staff who are still lacking compared to the assigned target in 2025 and in accordance with the actual needs of the following years of the 2026-2030 period.

After listening to the report on the work of caring for the career of "growing people" of the teaching staff in the whole province as well as sharing about the difficulties in teaching and learning, Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phong acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the results and efforts of the Education sector in the past time, especially after 1 month after the merger.

Mr. Dang Xuan Phong emphasized that our Party and State always affirm that education and training is the top national policy, the future of the nation. With the efforts of teachers, and the participation of Party committees and authorities at all levels, Phu Tho's education and training has achieved many very encouraging results, with attention paid to the quality of comprehensive education and the quality of key education.

However, Mr. Phong also said that the quality of education in the province is not yet uniform, with differences between regions and areas. In some places, the facilities do not meet the needs. The structure of investment capital for education is still limited.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Secretary of Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee requested that the sector should set goals that are appropriate to the province's position. Develop education and training in a synchronous and comprehensive manner in all areas and regions in the province. Comprehensively innovate thinking and awareness, be innovative and pioneering. Pay special attention to Party building work.

“Phu Tho must become a high-quality training center. An experience center associated with culture. An experimental center, a research center of regional and national stature.
