Trains to Hanoi city center suspended during National Day celebrations

Trains on the Hanoi - Giap Bat section (Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line) will be temporarily suspended to ensure absolute traffic safety during the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

On August 26, the Traffic Police Department ( Ministry of Public Security ), the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police and Vietnam Railways Corporation had a working session and agreed on a number of coordination contents to ensure order and safety of railway traffic on the occasion of organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

Accordingly, Vietnam Railways Corporation will temporarily suspend train operations to the center of Hanoi (Hanoi - Giap Bat section, Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line) from 8:10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on August 27; from 3 a.m. to 12 p.m. on August 30 and September 2.

At other times until 12:00 on September 2, trains passing through the section Km0+595 – Km1+800 will reduce speed to below 10 km/h to ensure safety.

In addition, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on the days of the Anniversary activities, Vietnam Railways Corporation will arrange officers and employees to coordinate with the police force at the section from lane 222 Le Duan to the Giai Phong - Dai Co Viet intersection, to propagate and guide people not to walk, stand, or sit on the railway when the parades and marching groups move to ensure absolute safety for the people.

The functional departments of the Traffic Police Department will regularly coordinate closely with the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi Police and Vietnam Railway Corporation to deploy traffic flow, regulate, and maintain order and safety on railways.
