Hundreds of electric cars stopped operating at Sam Son beach

According to Decree No. 165/2024/ND-CP dated December 26, 2024 guiding the Road Law and Decree No. 158/2024/ND-CP dated December 18, 2024 on road transport activities of the Government , 4-wheel electric vehicles will be officially included in the legal framework from July 1, 2025.

On June 17, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 54/2025/QD-UBND regulating the scope of operation of four-wheeled motor vehicles and the scope of passenger transport by four-wheeled motor vehicles.

Accordingly, four-wheeled motor vehicles are only allowed to operate on roads with signs indicating a maximum speed of 30 km/h, applicable to all vehicles participating in traffic.

With this regulation, all 474 four-wheel electric vehicles currently transporting tourists in Sam Son beach city will have to temporarily stop transporting people because this beach does not have any traffic routes with a maximum speed limit of 30 km/h.

The People's Committee of Sam Son City requires businesses providing passenger transport services by electric vehicles, as well as individuals using spontaneous vehicles to transport students and tourists, to temporarily suspend operations from July 1, 2025 until there are full instructions and conditions according to legal regulations.

Regarding internal transportation activities by electric vehicles or cars (no fare collection), the city currently records 3 units operating in accordance with regulations, including: FLC Sam Son Limited Liability Company, Sun Group Joint Stock Company and Hung Son Investment One Member Limited Liability Company. These units must continue to ensure full compliance with the conditions on drivers, vehicles, routes and scope of operations according to legal regulations.
