The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members and Mr. Ngo Tan Cu, Deputy Party Secretary, Member of the Board of Members, General Director of EVNCPC.
The organizational restructuring aims to concretize the Central Committee's resolutions on streamlining the apparatus to be lean and efficient, while implementing EVN's direction in accordance with administrative boundary adjustments and development orientation of the electricity industry in the new period.
Accordingly, Quang Tri Electricity Company was established on the basis of merging two units: Quang Binh Electricity Company and Quang Tri Electricity Company; Da Nang Electricity Company was established on the basis of merging Da Nang Electricity Company and Quang Nam Electricity Company; Quang Ngai Electricity Company was established on the basis of merging Quang Ngai Electricity Company and Kon Tum Electricity Company; Gia Lai Electricity Company was established on the basis of merging Gia Lai Electricity Company and Binh Dinh Electricity Company; Dak Lak Electricity Company was established on the basis of merging Dak Lak Electricity Company and Phu Yen Electricity Company.
Khanh Hoa Power Company was established by receiving Ninh Thuan Power Company, a unit transferred by Southern Power Corporation to EVNCPC for management according to the orientation of reorganizing power units by region.
Along with the announcement of the decision to reorganize the units after the merger, EVNCPC also announced the decision to transfer and appoint the Directors of 6 Power Companies. Accordingly, Mr. Hoang Hieu Trung, Director of Quang Binh Power Company was appointed as Director of Quang Tri Power Company; Mr. Le Hong Cuong, Director of Da Nang Power Company was appointed as Director of Da Nang Power Company; Mr. Quach Pham Cuong, Director of Quang Ngai Power Company was appointed as Director of Quang Ngai Power Company; Mr. Thai Minh Chau, Director of Binh Dinh Power Company was appointed as Director of Gia Lai Power Company; Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Director of Dak Lak Power Company was appointed as Director of Dak Lak Power Company and Mr. Do Nguyen Hung, Director of Ninh Thuan Power Company was transferred and appointed as Director of Khanh Hoa Power Company.
The decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.
Thus, after merging units, EVNCPC reduced 5 Power companies, now has 8 member Power companies, including 6 newly established Power companies and 2 Hue Power companies and Khanh Hoa Power Joint Stock Company.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of EVNCPC congratulated the newly appointed Directors. He asked the new Directors of the Power Company and the Board of Directors of the units to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation and creativity; effectively exploit internal strengths; be proactive in leadership, management and organization of production and business tasks. The goal is to ensure safe, continuous and stable electricity supply, serving well the socio-economic development and people's lives in the area.
After reorganizing and perfecting the organization according to a streamlined model, from July 1, 2025, EVNCPC will directly manage and operate the power grid at 8 Power Companies in 7 provinces and cities in the Central Highlands - Central region, including: Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa with over 4.8 million customers.
These units are managing and operating a total of nearly 32,780 km of medium voltage lines, more than 49,100 km of low voltage lines, and 34,850 distribution transformer stations, with a total capacity of more than 8,000 MVA. In addition, EVNCPC also directly manages 156 110kV transformer stations with 241 110kV transformers, a total capacity of nearly 8,860 MVA, and about 4,300 km of 110kV lines.
With a large-scale infrastructure spread across many complex areas, EVNCPC is gradually improving the efficiency of system management and operation, thereby ensuring safe, stable and continuous power supply to localities in the Central Highlands - Central region to serve socio-economic development and people's lives.
