Nearly 12,000 students took the driving license test in Dak Lak province.

The Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police said that from March 1 to June 30, 2025, the unit successfully organized 31 driving tests and issued driving licenses to 11,703 students.

Specifically, of the total number of candidates taking the exam, 5,894 were taking the car test and 5,809 were taking the motorcycle test. In addition to testing and issuing new driving licenses, the Traffic Police Department and the police of communes and wards in the province also received and processed nearly 20,000 applications for issuing and reissuing driving licenses of all kinds for citizens.

Students take the test in the driving test course at the Driving Test Center of Tay Nguyen Polytechnic College.

Currently, Dak Lak province has 18 car and motorbike driving training facilities, including 13 facilities in Dak Lak (old) and 5 facilities from Phu Yen province (old). With this number of training facilities, Dak Lak is well meeting the increasing demand for learning and taking driving license exams of the people in recent years.

It is known that from March 1, 2025, the testing, issuance and exchange of driving licenses have been transferred from the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction) to the Ministry of Public Security . This transfer of tasks is expected to continue to improve the quality and transparency of driving license issuance nationwide, including Dak Lak province.
