Rice exports increased slightly

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,900 - 8,000 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 8,150 - 8,200 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice fluctuates at 9,300 - 9,500 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 7,300 - 10,000 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice 3-4 fluctuates at 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; the price of bran fluctuates at 8,000 - 10,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is better, the price of rice of all kinds is relatively stable. In An Giang , rice arrives regularly, warehouse purchases slow down, rice prices fluctuate little. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), rice arrives regularly, warehouse purchases slow down, the price of rice of all kinds is stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), rice has arrived in quantity, mainly fragrant and sticky rice, mostly concentrated in large warehouses, prices of all types are stable, by-products have stable prices. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang ), quantity is small, good rice is easy to sell at stable prices, general rice has chaotic prices, warehouses buy slowly.

At retail markets, the prices of all types of rice remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,000-16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000-22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000-20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice 22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000/kg; common white rice 17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice 21,000/kg; Japanese rice 22,000/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is good, new buying and selling transactions are slow. In Long An, new transactions are slower, rice prices offered by traders have decreased slightly. In Kien Giang, farmers' rice prices remain stable, buyers tend to offer lower prices, new transactions are sporadic. In Dong Thap, farmers' prices are stable, rice transactions are regular in the 3-crop fields, rice prices fluctuate little.

In An Giang, there is a lot of rice, new rice transactions are slower than yesterday, fragrant rice prices in some areas have decreased slightly. In Bac Lieu, rice prices are stable, harvest is sporadic, traders have slowed down, mainly waiting to harvest rice. In Soc Trang, there is a lot of rice harvested, fragrant rice prices have decreased, prices of other types of rice have fluctuated little. In Hau Giang, there is a lot of rice harvested, farmers offer to sell at stable prices, buying and selling transactions are steady.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today increased slightly compared to mid-week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 392 USD/ton (up 2 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 365 USD/ton (up 1 USD/ton); 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
