
Gold prices increased on the morning of January 24.
At 9:00 a.m., Phu Quy Group listed the price of SJC gold bars at 74.2 million VND/tael (buy) - 76.6 million VND/tael (sell), an increase of 200,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of January 23.
Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set the price at 74.2 million VND/tael (buy) - 76.7 million VND/tael (sell), 200,000 VND/tael higher than the end of the previous day each way.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited also increased by 200,000 VND/tael each way, to 74.25 million VND/tael (buy) - 76.55 million VND/tael (sell).
Similarly, Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company increased by VND200,000/tael each way, to VND74.2 million/tael (buy) - VND76.7 million/tael (sell).
The price of gold rings remained unchanged in some places, and decreased by VND50,000/tael in others, commonly trading at VND62.85-63.83 million/tael (buy) and VND64.05-64.93 million/tael (sell).
The buying and selling price range for gold rings is 1.1-1.2 million VND/tael and for gold bars is 2.45-2.5 million VND/tael.
Yesterday (January 23), at first, the price of SJC gold bars increased by 300,000 VND/tael in the selling direction, to 76.3 million VND/tael, then increased by 200,000 VND/tael. Transactions in the market were not active.
In the international market, also at the same time, the gold price was trading at 2,026.3 USD/ounce, down nearly 4 USD/ounce. The converted world gold price was lower than the SJC gold bar price at about 16.1 million VND/tael.
