Dissolution of 44 Border Guard Commands of provinces and cities

Today, June 21, the Border Guard Command announced the decision to dissolve 44 Border Guard commands of provinces and cities.

On June 21, Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai, Commander of the Border Guard, chaired a conference to announce the results of force organization in the new situation.

The Border Guard Command has dissolved 44 Border Guard commands of provinces and cities.

Accordingly, the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard announced the decision to dissolve 44 Border Guard commands of provinces and cities; and the decision to establish the Northwest Training and Mobility Center under the Border Guard Command.

The Northwest Mobile Training Center has the function and task of organizing training for new soldiers and training reserve soldiers according to the Ministry of National Defense's plan. This is a mobile force, ready to fight and participate in resolving situations to maintain political security and social order and safety on the border when ordered by competent authorities.

The conference also announced the decision to establish the Party Committee of the Northwest Training and Mobility Center; the decision to transfer and appoint personnel at 30 Border Guard commands under provincial military commands and the decision to promote 7 officers to the rank of lieutenant colonel.

Lieutenant General Le Duc Thai affirmed that the Party Committee and Command of the Border Guard, Party committees and commanders at all levels in the force need to be united and determined to overcome all challenges, successfully complete all tasks assigned by the Party, State, army and people; and be worthy of being the core force, specialized in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security.
