Meeting of Emulation Cluster No. 5 of the Business Association

On the afternoon of April 16, Emulation Cluster No. 5, Vietnam Veterans' Association of Enterprises and Entrepreneurs (VEI) held a conference to review activities in 2024 and deploy key directions and tasks for 2025.

Attending the conference were Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association; Vice Presidents of the Vietnam Veterans Association; leaders of the Veterans Association of provinces in Emulation Cluster No. 5 including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh , Quang Tri and Hue City.

Currently, Emulation Cluster No. 5 has 238 district and city-level associations, with a total of 2,366 members, the emulation cluster with the second highest number of members among the 9 emulation clusters of the Vietnam Association of Veteran Enterprises.

Comrade Trinh Xuan Lam, Chairman of the Association of Veteran Enterprises of Thanh Hoa province, head of Emulation Cluster No. 5 delivered the opening speech of the conference.

In 2024, the Standing Committee of Emulation Cluster No. 5 successfully implemented the emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans", the movement "War veterans help each other reduce poverty, do good business " and the movement to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Regarding production and business, enterprises, cooperatives, groups, farms, and households... owned by war veterans have implemented many solutions, overcome all difficulties, stabilized production, increased revenue, and created jobs for 64,786 workers with an average income of 7.8 million VND/person/month. Total revenue of Emulation Cluster No. 5 reached 21,044 billion VND, contributing nearly 580 billion VND to the State and local budgets.

Representative of Emulation Cluster No. 5 presented a report at the conference.

Over the past year, Emulation Cluster No. 5 has actively participated in gratitude and social security activities with an amount of 31.7 billion VND in house giving, gift giving, flood disaster support..., an increase of 14 billion VND compared to 2023.

To overcome the limitations and shortcomings pointed out at the conference, in 2025, Emulation Cluster No. 5 will continue to promote production and business development; maintain and expand markets; strengthen joint ventures, associations, cooperation, and trade promotion; focus on developing new products with high scientific content and competitiveness, and are environmentally friendly; build brands and geographical indications for products; promote the application of science and technology, digital transformation, focus on building high-quality human resources to reduce costs, increase revenue and profits, and gradually improve the lives of workers, especially war veterans and veterans.

Strengthening connections between member businesses within the province, inter-province and inter-region, opening up new business directions in the spirit of "Friendship - Cooperation - Mutual Development".

Mobilize resources from veteran business members and coordinate with the Veterans Association at all levels to give gratitude houses, eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, and give gifts to veterans, veterans in difficult circumstances, and policy families striving to stabilize and improve their lives.

At the conference, many individuals with outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement "Civil War Veterans Entrepreneurs with good production and business and good social security work" in 2024 received Certificates of Merit from the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the Vietnam Veterans Association of Enterprises.
