The school's only English teacher was transferred, leaving hundreds of students at a disadvantage.

On September 21, Mr. Pham Van Cuong, Principal of Le Loi Primary School (Tan Hoa Commune, Buon Don District, Dak Lak ), said that the school's only English teacher, Ms. PTHTr (34 years old), was transferred by the People's Committee of Buon Don District to work at Ama Trang Long Primary and Secondary School (Ea Bar Commune, Buon Don District).

According to the investigation, the decision to transfer Ms. Tr. to Ama Trang Long Primary and Secondary School was signed by Mr. Pham Trung Nghia, Chairman of Buon Don District People's Committee, issued on August 14 and effective from August 21.

Le Loi Primary School, where Ms. Tr. transferred her job, causing hundreds of students to suffer.

While Ms. Tr. is the only English teacher at Le Loi Primary School, Ama Trang Long Primary and Secondary School has 3 English teachers including: 2 English teachers at the secondary school level and 1 English teacher at the primary school level.

According to Mr. Cuong, because the school's only English teacher was transferred, more than 300 students at Le Loi Primary School missed out on their studies and suffered many disadvantages. Faced with this situation, the school sent a written report on the lack of English teachers for the 2023-2024 school year to the People's Committee of Buon Don District, and the Department of Internal Affairs and the Department of Education and Training to ask for opinions.

At the same time, because the new school year has started 2 weeks ago, Le Loi Primary School has to negotiate with a local teacher to teach English to students of all grades. However, the negotiation is also difficult because each week, grades 3, 4, and 5 have to study 4 periods/week, but currently the school has only arranged for them to study 2 periods/week.

Regarding the incident, a leader of the People's Committee of Buon Don District said that before the school year started, the district decided to transfer Ms. Tr. to A Ma Trang Long Primary and Secondary School because this school needed 4 English teachers to meet the quota.

According to this leader, after receiving opinions from all parties, on September 20, the People's Committee of Buon Don District decided to transfer an English teacher from another primary school to Le Loi Primary School from September 25. At the same time, the district level will review the transfer process and review the responsibilities of the departments related to the incident.
