Contribute significantly to protecting the Party's ideological foundation

Not following the trend, the 5th Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation - 2025 organized by the Hanoi Party Committee has become a widespread political activity, a vibrant forum for cadres, party members and people to participate with an increasingly high sense of responsibility and enthusiasm.

Implementing the Plan to organize the 2025 Contest, the Hanoi Party Committee has promptly developed a plan, organized and launched it in the entire Party Committee in a systematic and scientific manner and achieved many positive results so that the contest truly becomes an important highlight of the City Party Committee in concretizing Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation".

After more than 3 months of launching the Contest (from February 2025 to the end of May 2025), the whole city has attracted a total of 128,248 entries from agencies, units, and localities, with all 7 types of participation according to the Central regulations, including: Printed Magazine, Electronic Magazine; Printed Newspaper, Electronic Newspaper; Television; Radio and Video Clips... from more than 58 agencies, units, and localities in Hanoi city.

The contest was creatively and effectively implemented, promoted on social networking pages and groups on Facebook and Zalo of each agency, unit, school, socio-political organization, each party cell, each residential group... so that a large number of cadres and people know, respond and participate.

According to Mr. Vu Ngoc Ha (Phuc Loi ward), the contest, which was only for researchers and political theory teachers, has become a broad political activity and a vibrant forum for cadres, party members, union members, and members of socio-political organizations to express their awareness, enthusiasm, and high responsibility for the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints.

From 128,248 works, agencies, units and localities selected 1,652 works to submit to the city-level contest.

After the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee continued to evaluate, screen and select 437 works of good quality and high scores to participate in the final round of the contest. With a sense of responsibility, urgency, seriousness, and emphasis on quality and efficiency, the Contest Jury selected 99 best works to award 101 city-level prizes.

Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Nguyen Doan Toan assessed that this year's entries closely followed the theme of the contest, especially the group of themes on the new guiding ideology of the Party and General Secretary To Lam, the resolutions are the "four pillars" of national development in the new era - the era of national growth... "Many entries are of good quality, rich and diverse in many fields, some of the entries after being submitted to the contest were published in newspapers and magazines, broadcast promptly, contributing to the effective dissemination of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views", Comrade Nguyen Doan Toan emphasized.

According to the leaders of the Hanoi Party Committee, the city is promoting the implementation of the two-level local government model. Therefore, the city's Party committees and Party organizations need to continue to study, thoroughly grasp, and raise awareness of the responsibility for leadership, direction, exemplary spirit, and self-awareness of cadres and Party members, especially leaders, in deploying and implementing Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW and Conclusion No. 89-KL/TW of the 13th Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 of the 12th Politburo on "Strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation".

Party committees and organizations at all levels must synchronously implement "building" and "fighting", in which "building" is a fundamental, strategic, long-term task; strengthen the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity; prevent and push back the degradation of political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party. Localities and units should step up propaganda and posting of contest entries and quality articles on the internet and social networks, creating a widespread influence on cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the capital.

Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Doan Toan emphasized: "The values ​​gained from the contest do not only stop at propaganda effectiveness, but also serve as a premise to suggest important contributions in summarizing practices, supplementing theories on protecting the Party's ideological foundation, in building and developing the capital in the direction of culture, civilization, modernity, rapid and sustainable development, pioneering in the new era of development of the Vietnamese nation".
