Ha Tinh connects and cooperates with organizations and investors from Hungary

The leaders of Ha Tinh province hope that corporations, businesses and investors from Hungarian localities will come to learn about and survey investment in the province.

Within the framework of a working trip to Ha Tinh , on the morning of October 29, the Vietnam Business Association in Hungary and the delegation of the government of District 4, Budapest, Hungary, led by Mr. Czigler László - First Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 4, had a working session with the Provincial People's Committee on connection and development cooperation.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Czigler László - First Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of District 4, Budapest Capital expressed his joy when visiting and working in Ha Tinh and highly appreciated the socio-economic development of the province.

Mr. Czigler László emphasized: On October 28, when visiting and working in Nghi Xuan district, a land with many cultural values, the homeland of the great poet Nguyen Du, the delegation was very impressed with the development of this locality, especially the very developed life of the rural people. This is also a locality with great potential for tourism development. The delegation hopes that the twinning between District 4, Budapest Capital and Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh will be accelerated in the coming time; hoping that the connection will create more cohesion and development in the fields of culture, art, economy - society for the two localities as well as Ha Tinh province and Budapest Capital.

Speaking at the meeting, the leaders of Ha Tinh province gave an overview of the socio-economic situation; potential, advantages, investment attraction work of the province as well as the activities of the high-level delegation of Ha Tinh province attending the "12th European Overseas Vietnamese Business Forum" held in Budapest, Hungary in September 2023.

Accordingly, Ha Tinh's economic growth in 2023 will reach 8.05%, ranking 15th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide; the economic structure will shift towards rapidly increasing the proportion of industry - construction and services. Budget revenue will reach over 18,000 billion VND. Export turnover will reach 2.45 billion USD, import turnover will reach 3.6 billion USD.

Up to now, the whole province has about 1,450 domestic investment projects with a total investment of about 140,000 billion VND and 70 foreign investment projects with a total investment of about 16.1 billion USD. Among them, there are many projects of large domestic and foreign investors such as: Son Duong Port and Steel Complex of Formosa Group; 2 battery factories of Vingroup Group; Bac Thach Ha Industrial Park infrastructure project of VSIP Group...

Ha Tinh wishes to introduce, connect, and promote to localities, organizations, businesses, and investors from Hungary about its potential, advantages, and priority areas for investment calling such as supporting industries, energy; logistics services; tourism, etc. At the same time, it hopes to have corporations, businesses, and investors from localities of Hungary come to learn about and survey investment in the province.

Ha Tinh also hopes that the connection and cooperation between District 4 and Nghi Xuan District will be implemented soon, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the localities. In the coming time, the Department of Foreign Affairs will guide Nghi Xuan District to implement the related conditions for establishing cooperative relations between the two localities.

At the meeting, delegates from both sides also focused on discussing many potential contents to connect cooperation for socio-economic development in the coming time such as sports, human resource training, trade - services, tourism... as well as activities to connect Ha Tinh children living and working in Hungary through compatriot association organizations.
