Two majors of Danang University of Technology ranked 2nd in Southeast Asia according to AUN-QA standards

On February 13, at Danang University of Technology, the ceremony to award the Certificate of Quality Accreditation of the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA) for the field of electronics, telecommunications and embedded systems took place.

At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Le Kim Hung, Rector of Danang University of Technology, said that the two above-mentioned majors of the school have met the quality accreditation standards of the Southeast Asian University Network (AUN) with the highest results in Vietnam. These two training programs have ranked second in Southeast Asia according to AUN-AQ standards.

The Advanced Program Engineer Training Program is a national project implemented by the Ministry of Education and Training to build and develop a number of training majors, in 2006 implementing the telecommunications electronics major and in 2008 the embedded systems major; through selectively applying the training programs of two leading universities in the US, the University of Washington in Seattle and Portland State University in Oregon.

The training results of these two majors are increasingly affirmed with over 90% of students graduating each year with excellent, good and fair grades as well as a series of impressive awards from students at national and international competitions such as: First prize in the National Embedded System Design Competition in the US; Third prize in the Asian Informatics Olympiad; First prize in the national Go Green in the City competition organized by Schneider Company; Second prize in the national Green Bosch Challenge competition organized by Bosch Company....

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Bui Van Ga emphasized that the trend of universities choosing strong majors to focus on investing in facilities and staff to approach world training standards is inevitable. “Electronics and telecommunications and embedded systems of Danang University of Technology are the two programs with the best accreditation results ever, demonstrated by the highest scores among 65 programs that AUN-QA accredited in Vietnam. This success is a very good practical experience for us to replicate the advanced, high-quality training model in Vietnam today.”
