According to the Government's regulations in Decree 97 amending and supplementing Decree 81 on the mechanism for collecting and managing tuition fees for educational institutions in the national education system and policies on tuition exemption and reduction, support for learning costs, and service prices in the field of education and training, the art sector has the lowest tuition fee ceiling among the 8 sectors.
The dance major of the Vietnam Dance Academy has a tuition fee for the 2024-2025 school year of just over 4 million VND/year.

Specifically, the ceiling tuition fee for the arts sector for schools that have not yet covered their regular expenses in the 2025-2026 school year is 15.2 million VND/year. Meanwhile, the tuition fee for the science sector, education and teacher training, business and legal management is 15.9 million VND/year; humanities, social and behavioral sciences, journalism, tourism and hospitality, physical education and sports, and environment is 16.9 million VND/year; life sciences, natural sciences is 17.1 million VND/year; mathematics, information technology, computers, engineering, manufacturing and processing, architecture and construction, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary medicine is 18.5 million VND/year; medicine and pharmacy is 31.1 million VND/year; and other health sectors are 23.6 million VND/year.

Of which, the tuition fee of Vietnam Dance Academy in 2024-2025 is only over 4 million VND/year, nearly 4 times lower than the ceiling. The lowest major of Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema is the Faculty of Traditional Drama and Dance, also only 4.05 million VND/year. Currently, these two schools have not announced the tuition fee for 2025-2026.
Among the public universities that offer non-autonomous arts training, the highest tuition fee belongs to the Military University of Culture and Arts (19.1 million VND/year). Next are the University of Arts (Hue University), the Central University of Art Education and the Hanoi University of Architecture, with the highest tuition fee being 18.5 million VND/year.
Some autonomous universities such as Ton Duc Thang and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education currently offer training in art fields including graphic design, interior design, and fashion design. Tuition fees are much higher than those of non-autonomous public universities (more than 30 million VND/year), but are still within the Government's regulations.
