The workshop aimed to implement Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2024; the 2024 cooperation program between the Provincial Women's Union and Plan Organization on implementing the Project "Gender-Responsible Parenting in Comprehensive Child Care and Development in Quang Tri Province", to promote the role of community groups, especially "Groups of parents with children under 10 years old", "Trusted Addresses" in villages in propaganda and mobilization to prevent domestic violence and build happy families.
Reporting on the implementation results of the model "Group of parents with children under 10 years old" and "Trusted Address", the Provincial Women's Union said that for Project 8, to implement content 2: "Building and replicating models of changing "thinking and ways of doing" to enhance economic empowerment for women; promoting gender equality and solving urgent problems of women and children", the Provincial Women's Union chose the main intervention and support model as "Trusted Address".
In the project “Gender-responsible parenting in comprehensive child care and development” with the goal of providing girls and boys under 10 years old with the necessary care and services to be healthy and develop to their full potential, the Provincial Women's Union chose the core model to be invested in and implemented as “Group of parents with children under 10 years old”.
With the model "Trusted Address", it has spread and communicated to the community about issues of gender equality, domestic violence prevention and gender-based violence prevention; timely on-site support for victims of violence; connection and referral to relevant services. The model has brought about many practical effects, contributing to reducing domestic violence and raising people's awareness in protecting family happiness.

The model of “Parents with children under 10 years old” has contributed to improving the quality of care, education and protection of children in the community, especially in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas. In areas where the model has been implemented, the rate of malnourished children has decreased significantly, children’s health has improved, hygiene is better, and there are fewer diseases.
In particular, children are more confident, bolder, develop good language skills, are polite, and know how to seek support and help from adults when in danger. Parents in the highlands have learned to pay more attention to their children, such as providing appropriate nutrition, spending more time being close to and taking care of their children...
The workshop heard 6 presentations, including: enhancing men's participation in comprehensive child care and development; the role of community initiatives in promoting child care and development; solutions to effectively implement the "Trusted Address" model; domestic violence situation, advantages and difficulties in supporting victims of domestic violence in the locality...
At the workshop, the Provincial Women's Union oriented the development and integration of community models into the association's activities to maintain and sustainably develop the above models.
