Huong Khe effectively promotes savings fund to study and follow Uncle Ho

“Savings box for studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings” is one of the good ways to concretize the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW, Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW on “Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle” effectively deployed by the Party Committee of Huong Khe district.

In early January 2024, the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district sponsored 10 orphans in the area, with a quarterly budget of 1.5 million VND/child. The funding source was drawn from the "Savings Fund for studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings" saved by cadres and party members in 2023.

In addition, the remaining fund will be used to buy supplies for the care of the district martyrs' cemetery and environmental sanitation at the agency; and to support a poor family to build a toilet.

In early 2024, the Party cells of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district counted the amount of money saved during the year to raise funds to implement social security activities.

Accordingly, with the daily campaign, each cadre and party member must save at least 1,000 VND, and at least 30,000 VND per month, and put it into the fund at the monthly Party cell meeting. In 2023, 160 party members and 14 party cells under the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district saved and built a fund with a total amount of more than 63 million VND; in 2022, more than 55 million VND was mobilized; in 2021, more than 22 million VND was mobilized.

Mr. Phan Trong Truong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the People's Committee of Huong Khe district said: "The fundraising campaign was responded to enthusiastically and responsibly by cadres and party members. The minimum saving level is like that, but most party members contribute much higher levels. The actions, though small, have brought great meaning, providing material support to orphans and encouraging and supporting them to go to school. This work also helps cadres and party members once again raise their awareness of self-cultivation, practice the spirit of saving, and fight against waste in life and in the agency.

At the same time, continue to maintain this movement regularly to contribute to the good implementation, ensuring practicality and effectiveness of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in the spirit of Resolution No. 04-NQ/TW and Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the 12th Politburo on "Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle".

The savings were used by the Party Committee of the District People's Committee to sponsor orphans in the area.

As in the district People's Committee office, for the past 3 years, regularly before entering the monthly Party cell activities, Party members of the Party cells of the Huong Khe District Party Committee Office have all participated in contributing to the savings fund.

In 2023 alone, with a fund of nearly 23 million VND from contributions from more than 30 party members, the unit sponsored 2 orphans; and at the same time gave gifts to disadvantaged households.

Representatives of the Party Committee of Huong Khe District Party Committee supported a family in difficult circumstances in Hoa Hai commune from the savings fund.

In addition to the Party Committee of the agency block, this content has also been effectively implemented by the Party Committees at the commune level in the area. Mr. Le Trong Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Huong Tra commune said: "In the past 3 years, from the savings fund, cadres and party members of the Party Committee of Huong Tra commune have mobilized more than 11 million VND. This amount is all used to give Tet gifts to the poor in the area".

It is known that the "Savings fund for learning and following Uncle Ho" has been deployed by the Party Committee of Huong Khe district since 2016, earning hundreds of millions of VND each year; in 2023 alone, more than 200 million VND.

Head of the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee Hoang Quoc Nha said: "The savings fund following Uncle Ho's teachings is one of the contents that concretizes the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style. In the coming time, the district will continue to promote and maintain the fund to support those in difficult circumstances, giving them more strength and joy in life. Thereby, it will increasingly spread and bring practical values, demonstrating humanity and the spirit of mutual love; at the same time, educating and implementing the spirit of thrift and anti-waste of each cadre and party member in the agency, unit and in daily life."
