Huynh Nhu's contract expires, Lank FC raises the issue of extension

Striker Huynh Nhu has not decided to extend his contract even though Lank FC has asked to sign for at least one more year.

Huynh Nhu's contract is for one year but includes a clause allowing for an additional year if both parties agree.

According to a source, right after Huynh Nhu finished her journey at SEA Games 32 with the gold medal with the Vietnamese women's team, the Portuguese team raised the issue of extending the contract with the striker born in 1991.

However, up to this point, Huynh Nhu has not made a decision. For now, the striker from Tra Vinh continues to focus with the Vietnamese women's team to prepare for the 2023 Women's World Cup next July.

Thus, Huynh Nhu has nearly two months of duty in the Vietnamese women's team, and whether the female player will renew her contract with Lank FC or not is still a question mark.

Since wearing the Lank club shirt, Huynh Nhu has made her mark with 5 goals in the Portuguese national championship and two goals in the national cup, and was once voted the best player of the round.

In addition to playing, the Vietnamese striker also made a strong impression on Lank FC with his openness, integration, and participation in many community activities.

Currently, the Portuguese national championship has ended, Lank is ranked 6th, winning 20 points with 6 wins, two draws and 7 losses.

Because the new season is still a few months away and the contract extension has not been signed, Huynh Nhu has the right to return home to wear the Vietnamese women's team jersey in the upcoming training trips.

Obviously with what she showed in Portugal and when she returned home to wear the Vietnamese women's team jersey, Huynh Nhu received high appreciation from Lank FC.

Huynh Nhu may even be in the sights of many European teams. After a year of playing, the striker from Tra Vinh also has a close relationship with his teammates at Lank FC when he often shares about Vietnamese culture.

Notably, at SEA Games 32, although it is not a FIFA tournament, Lank FC agreed to let Huynh Nhu return to play for the Vietnamese women's team right from the group stage.

Thus, if she leaves Lank FC, this will be a very difficult decision for Huynh Nhu. In case of contract extension, the Vietnamese women's team striker will have to devote herself wholeheartedly to the Portuguese team.
