iPhone 17 Pro Max sold out in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - At 7:00 p.m. on September 12, Apple and its authorized dealers opened pre-orders for the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines in the Vietnamese market.

Just 5 minutes after the pre-order portal opened, the iPhone 17 Pro Max version was sold out at Apple's online store. Currently, users who order on Apple's official website will not be able to receive the device on September 19, but will have to wait another 3-4 weeks.

The same thing was also recorded at the company's authorized dealers. As of the night of September 12, The Gioi Di Dong system recorded nearly 100,000 orders for the iPhone 17 product line, of which nearly 89,000 customers had placed deposits.

On its website,FPT Shop does not disclose the number of customers who pre-ordered. Compared to its competitors, this dealer has implemented additional carrier packages to subsidize the price when customers buy together with iPhone. From there, users will receive additional discounts on the product price.

Since the opening of the order portal, the websites of many retail systems have been experiencing intermittent and difficult to access situations. This situation occurs due to a large number of users accessing at the same time, causing the system to not be able to handle it in time.

"Since opening the information, the system has recorded nearly 30,000 customers interested in registering early information about the iPhone 17 and iPhone Air product lines. This number increased by 20% compared to the iPhone 16 generation," said a representative of the CellphoneS system.

While the iPhone 17 Pro Max is out of stock, other versions such as the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air still have enough units for users to order and receive on September 19. This is something that was predicted in advance due to the typical shopping habits of Vietnamese consumers.

According to data recorded by Mobile World, iPhone 17 Pro Max is the choice with an overwhelming proportion. After 3 days of opening the information registration portal, 83.11% of customers are interested in iPhone 17 Pro Max. Of which, more than 58% of customers are interested in the Pro Max 256GB version in cosmic orange.

According to the dealers, the initial supply will not be able to meet customer demand, especially since Vietnam is one of the first countries to return goods globally this year. Therefore, the situation of demand exceeding supply is likely to be inevitable.

In addition to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the iPhone Air series has also seen positive signs. Some dealers said that this model has attracted more interest and registration than expected.
