Since the morning of September 30, prolonged thunderstorms in Hanoi have caused severe flooding in many areas. Heavy rain has also significantly affected flight operations at Noi Bai Airport.
Vietnam Airlines representative said that bad weather in the Hanoi area with thunderstorms and limited visibility has directly affected take-off and landing operations at Noi Bai airport.
Many flights of Vietnam Airlines Group (Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines) were forced to adjust their plans, wait for flights or land at other airports such as Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa), Dong Hoi ( Quang Binh ), Phu Bai (Hue), Da Nang... to ensure safety.
In the announcement, the national airline hopes passengers will understand when having to change plans and recommends following safety instructions, especially fastening seat belts when there is a signal.
