From the historic land of Tan Trao to the northernmost point of Dong Van, the journey back to the source is also marked by many red addresses such as: Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery, Bac Me Cang Historical Site, Lung Cu National Flagpole, Vuong Family Palace... These places are not only sacred spaces for educating revolutionary traditions but also help visitors experience and deeply feel heroic stories associated with the past and national pride. Connecting these destinations creates important "links" in the province's tourism network, helping visitors better understand the historical context and experience the culture of ethnic minorities on their journey to explore the land at the head of the Fatherland.
Promoting cultural values rich in identity
Located in a strategic location, Tuyen Quang is increasingly asserting its position on the Vietnamese tourism map by preserving and promoting a rich cultural heritage, harmoniously combining it with the spiritual space and identity of ethnic groups. That effort opens up a new direction in promoting the value of connection between: tradition and modernity, preservation and development, between indigenous culture and tourism vitality in the context of integration.
Evidence is that many traditional festivals have been restored and preserved to create a wide spread, such as Thanh Tuyen and Long Tong Festivals of the Tay ethnic group; Fire Dance of the Pa Then ethnic group; Gau Tao of the Mong ethnic group; Ancestor Worship and Village Washing of the Lo Lo ethnic group... In parallel, the system of ancient temples, pagodas and shrines spread throughout the localities contributes to enriching the religious space, opening up great potential for the development of cultural - historical - spiritual tourism. Intangible cultural heritages such as folk songs, folk dances, and customs of ethnic groups are built into tourism products, highly appreciated by domestic and foreign tourists.

Professor, Dr. Le Hong Ly, Chairman of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association, commented: “The ethnic groups in Tuyen Quang still preserve a rich cultural treasure, from language, writing, folk knowledge to performing arts, costumes, musical instruments and traditional labor tools. Preserving, exploiting and promoting these values not only motivates the community to maintain and preserve the heritage but also gives visitors an authentic experience, affirming Tuyen Quang as a cultural and religious destination rich in identity.”
In the period of 2025 - 2030, the province aims to develop tourism into an important economic sector associated with the preservation and promotion of cultural heritages, gradually transforming them into resources for socio-economic development. On that basis, the province focuses on raising community awareness, creating solidarity among people in preserving and promoting cultural values associated with tourism development, creating economic benefits and promoting the local image. Tan Trao Special National Monument strives to meet the criteria of a Special National Tourist Area; Thanh Tuyen Festival and Buckwheat Flower Festival aim to become cultural - tourism events reaching international levels; meanwhile, the value of the title of UNESCO Global Geopark - Dong Van Stone Plateau continues to be preserved and promoted.
With the policy of "Using culture to develop tourism, using tourism to preserve and develop culture", Tuyen Quang identifies cultural heritage as a special resource to build attractive and unique tourism products. Thanks to that, the tourism image of the province is increasingly affirmed in the international arena with many prestigious titles such as: one of the 10 most attractive destinations in the world voted by CNN; honored as Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination in 2023 and Asia's Leading Cultural Destination in 2024. The above results are vivid proof of the correct decisions that the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress has proposed, contributing to Tuyen Quang tourism achieving many outstanding achievements, affirming its position on the Vietnam tourism map.
