
The OCOP Forum is held annually in rotation among provinces in the Mekong Delta region, aiming to promote trade connections, promote OCOP products and develop sustainable rural economy .
After 4 times of organization, OCOP Forum has formed a common event, creating a space for connection, exchange, sharing and cooperation in production, promotion and trade of OCOP products of the Mekong Delta region. Besides, it is also a space for consumers and distribution enterprises in the country and abroad to access, experience and trade OCOP products.
By September 2025, the country had nearly 17,400 products, from more than 9,300 OCOP entities, achieving 3 stars or more. OCOP products meet quality and food safety standards and regulations; have diverse designs and packaging, are environmentally friendly, and meet market requirements.

The awareness, thinking and capacity of OCOP subjects, especially cooperatives and small and medium enterprises, have been improved in terms of production organization, quality management, brand building and participation in modern distribution channels and export markets.
With many potentials and advantages, the Mekong Delta has the second largest number of OCOP products in the country (after the Red River Delta) with more than 3,900 products of more than 2,000 OCOP entities achieving 3 stars or more. Of which, the proportion of OCOP products is food, accounting for the majority at 82.3% (higher than the national average of 78.3%).
In An Giang province alone, up to now, the whole province has 582 products recognized as 3-star OCOP or higher, including 14 5-star OCOP products, 1 potential 5-star OCOP product, 52 4-star OCOP products and 515 3-star OCOP products, with 324 entities.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam affirmed that the 2025 Regional OCOP Forum is an important and meaningful event for the provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta region, especially in the context of restructuring provincial-level localities and organizing the two-level local government apparatus.
Along with that, in the period 2026-2030, the country enters a new era, with strong requirements for innovation in digital transformation, science and technology and international economic integration. This is both an opportunity and a requirement in building new rural areas and developing the rural economy, including developing OCOP products.

Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam requested provinces and cities to pay attention to and direct the development of plans and orientations for OCOP product development in the 2026-2030 period; in which, it is necessary to focus on strengthening product quality management associated with developing prestigious OCOP product brands domestically and for export, in the direction of environmental friendliness, green and sustainable development.
Strengthening the control of production processes, ensuring requirements on quality management and food safety according to standards and regulations; paying attention to building OCOP specialty raw material areas according to production planning and meeting standards.

Mr. Ngo Cong Thuc, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee, the OCOP Forum in An Giang in 2025 aims to help promote, introduce and connect, support the connection of An Giang province's products to provinces, cities and businesses nationwide; help subjects exchange and discuss to improve product quality and promote cooperation for mutual development.
