Attending the inauguration ceremony of Poet Xuan Dieu Memorial House were leaders of Binh Dinh Department of Culture and Sports, leaders of Tuy Phuoc District and leaders of Can Loc District, Ha Tinh (a sister unit of Tuy Phuoc District).
Poet Xuan Dieu's real name is Ngo Xuan Dieu (1916 - 1985), born in his maternal hometown in Go Boi, Tung Gian village, Phuoc Hoa commune, Tuy Phuoc district (Binh Dinh). His father's hometown is in Trao Nha village, Can Loc district (Ha Tinh).
Poet Xuan Dieu Memorial House
Xuan Dieu was one of the founders of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Union (now the Vietnam Journalists Association ), a prominent figure in modern poetry. He left behind about 450 love poems, many short stories, memoirs, essays, and literary criticism. Xuan Dieu is known as a lyrical romantic poet, "The newest poet among the new poets", "The King of love poems", a person with great influence in the new poetry movement, an active cultural and social activist.
To commemorate him, Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee built Xuan Dieu Memorial House on the foundation of the poet's grandparents' house in Tung Gian village, put into operation since 1995. After nearly 29 years of use, the memorial house has deteriorated, so Tuy Phuoc District People's Committee invested in building a new memorial house on the foundation of the old house, more spacious and beautiful, creating a destination for tourists when visiting Tuy Phuoc.
Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate
After more than 8 months of construction, from April 2024 until now, the construction of the new Poet Xuan Dieu Memorial House has been completed. The memorial house was newly built on the old foundation, and at the same time expanded the campus with a total area of up to 720 m2 . In which, the garden, internal walkway with an area of 550 m2 , construction of fences, surrounding gates and some other items...
The project has a total investment capital of more than 9.8 billion VND from the district's state budget and other legal capital sources, with the Tuy Phuoc District Land Fund Development and Investment Project Management Board as the investor.
Delegates offered incense in memory of poet Xuan Dieu
On this occasion, representatives of Can Loc district presented artifacts of poet Xuan Dieu to display at the memorial house.
In December 2010, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province decided to rank Xuan Dieu Memorial House in Go Boi (Tuy Phuoc) as a provincial historical relic.
