Kick-off of the 2025 National Sepak Takraw Championship for Excellent Teams

VHO - On the afternoon of September 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City coordinated with the Vietnam Sepak Takraw Federation to organize the opening ceremony of the 2025 National Sepak Takraw Championship for Excellent Teams.

The tournament gathered nearly 200 male and female athletes from 7 teams from provinces and cities in the country, including: Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, Nghe An, Dong Nai, Vinh Long, Bac Ninh and Hue City.

Athletes will compete in 6 categories: 4-man team, 3-man team, men's doubles team, 4-woman team, 3-woman team and women's doubles team.

According to Mr. Bui Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City, this tournament is an opportunity for the teams to increase competition, learn, and at the same time evaluate the quality of athlete training.

Through that, the Organizing Committee has a basis to select outstanding faces to add to the national team, preparing for regional and international tournaments.

The Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags to the teams participating in the tournament.

Mr. Bui Thanh Dung requested that the referees operate objectively and in accordance with the law; that the athletes compete with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, nobility, and strictly comply with the tournament regulations.

The 2025 National Sepak Takraw Championship for Excellent Teams will take place from September 15 to 17 at the square in front of Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted (Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City).
