Lam Dong: Encouraging 69 poor students before the new school year

With the motto "No student should be unable to go to school due to difficulties", Da Huoai 2 commune, Lam Dong province organized delegations to visit and give gifts to 69 students in difficult circumstances before the new school year.

Showing concern for the local youth, Da Huoai 2 commune, Lam Dong province has established 11 working groups led by leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Da Huoai 2 commune, directly as group leaders to visit and give gifts to 69 local students with difficult circumstances before the new school year. Also participating were representatives of organizations, unions, school principals, Billionaire Farmers Club, and cooperatives in the commune.

In addition to awarding 69 scholarships (worth 500,000 VND/scholarship) to students in difficult circumstances, the delegation also awarded health insurance cards, uniforms, bicycles, books and school supplies with a total support value of up to 100 million VND.

The working delegations also spent time listening to the thoughts and aspirations, encouraging and sharing the difficulties and hardships of families and children; raising awareness about the importance of knowledge for the future and encouraging parents to pay more attention to their children's education.

It is known that this amount of money was taken from the "For the Poor" fund and the "Golden Book of Love" program of the commune. The gifts are a timely source of encouragement for the children to overcome their circumstances and continue to strive in their studies and training.

Receiving gifts from the program, many parents were moved to express that the timely attention of the government and community helped them ease their worries and share some of the burden for their families before their children entered the new school year.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Da Huoai 2 Commune Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao said that in the coming time, the locality will continue to mobilize social resources, maximizing the value of the "Golden Book of Affection". At the same time, promoting the spirit of solidarity and sharing to better care for the commune's students, especially those in difficult circumstances, to contribute to improving the quality of education and developing local human resources.
