Huynh Thai Nguyen won first prize in the contest
The final round of the Recruitment Conqueror 2023 contest at the University of Economics and Finance, Ho Chi Minh City (UEF) on June 17 found the champion, Huynh Thai Nguyen, a student majoring in marketing and human resource management, UEF.
In the final round, the 10 best candidates will have 2 rounds to calculate their scores. In the first round, candidates will focus on taking the behavioral and cognitive test which will take place on June 14.
In the second part on June 17, candidates convince the recruitment board with self-introduction, drawing of opinion-related question topics, answering opinion questions and additional questions from the judges based on the answers.
Many interesting topics about human resource recruitment were raised by the judges for the candidates such as: "In a situation where your working group has conflicts and disagreements. If you were a leader, how would you handle this conflict?"
Another question related to making money and passion: "Between doing what you love to make money and making money to do what you love, which option do you choose?".
Dang Bao Tran, runner-up, answered questions quite well on the topic of working, making money, and nurturing passion.
Answering this question, contestant Dang Bao Tran, a student majoring in human resource management at UEF, confidently said: "Doing what you like to earn money is in line with your passion, and from there, you earn money. Working with a salary high enough to serve your personal interests outside of work. According to the ancient Japanese philosophy that is being applied to career counseling, the most perfect job for us is doing what we like, what we are good at, earning money and serving society. This is the perfect job."
"But in reality, things don't always work out that way. But in my personal opinion, I'll choose to do what I like. The first thing I do when I start out is to set personal goals for my life, then make a lot of money, travel around the world , live like a local, and write a blog. When I have a plan, all my activities will be geared towards this ultimate goal. Moreover, when I don't like what I do, it's also what I gain experience and value from. When I come to the job I love, I'm completely ready, with full knowledge and experience (full knowledge, skills, and experience to be ready for combat, ready to participate in assigned tasks no matter how difficult - NV) to do what I love most," contestant Bao Tran said.
This female student also won the runner-up (second prize) in today's competition.
More recruitment knowledge for students
The question for Thai Nguyen, who won first prize in the employer persuasion section, was "What do you think about the idea of being loyal to your direct supervisor in the company?".
The contest champion said that loyalty is divided into two types: basic loyalty and advanced loyalty. Basic loyalty is completing deadlines, tasks, and following the organization's regulations... Advanced loyalty is about content that needs to be developed, creative, and brings higher efficiency in work.
The organizers also awarded third prize to Tran Khoa, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. Promising prize to Nguyen Ha Yen Nhi and Trinh Hoai Nam (both UEF students).
