Party and State leaders attend conference to disseminate Resolution of the 10th Central Conference

TPO - On October 20, in Hanoi, the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat held a national conference to disseminate and implement the Resolution of the 10th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

At the Conference, delegates listened to Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang convey "The key, core contents and new points in the Draft Political Report at the 14th National Party Congress and the Draft Summary Report on a number of theoretical and practical issues on the work of innovation in the direction of socialism over the past 40 years in Vietnam".

Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang said that the Central Committee basically agreed on the overall assessment of achievements and lessons learned after 40 years of renovation; specific target orientations for continued renovation from now until 2030, with a vision to 2045; and agreed on the guiding viewpoints for continued renovation. The Central Committee also discussed and basically agreed on a number of orientations on tasks and solutions stated in the draft Report.

Conveying "The key, core contents and new points in the Draft Report on the assessment of 5 years of implementing the 10-year socio-economic development strategy 2021 - 2030; the directions and tasks of socio-economic development for 5 years 2026 - 2030 and the socio-economic situation, state budget in 2024, the plan for 2025; the 3-year state finance and budget plan 2025 - 2027; the policy of investing in high-speed railway on the North - South axis; the policy of establishing Hue city directly under the Central Government", Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that in the context of the world and domestic situation intertwined with many opportunities as well as difficulties and challenges, of which difficulties and challenges are more numerous, the leadership, direction and management of socio-economic affairs since the 13th National Party Congress have achieved many positive results.

In general assessment, in the nearly 5-year period of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress, the Central Committee agreed that we have achieved many important, outstanding, and quite comprehensive results, basically completing the main goals and our country has surpassed the low-middle income level; the human development index has improved; the happiness index in 2024 increased by 11 places compared to 2023, ranking 54/143 countries and territories, creating a foundation for the next stage of higher development.

Based on the results achieved and the assessment of limitations, shortcomings, difficulties, challenges, and lessons learned, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that the Central Committee has basically agreed with the viewpoints, general goals, main targets, tasks, and main solutions for socio-economic development in the 2026-2030 period.

In particular, the Party Central Committee agreed with the socio-economic development target for 2025 with GDP growth reaching about 6.5-7% and striving to achieve a growth rate of 7-7.5%; in the period of 2026-2030, the average GDP growth rate will be about 7.5-8.5%/year...

Also at the Conference, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Party Central Committee's Organization Commission Le Minh Hung conveyed "The key, core contents and new points in the Draft Report summarizing the Party building work and implementing the Party Charter for the 13th Congress term; some basic contents on amending the Party's Election Regulations; summarizing the personnel work of the 13th Congress and building the direction for personnel work of the 14th Party Congress".
