The delegation arrived in Miami on Vietjet’s first flight to the US. The flight, operated with a wide-body aircraft, was an important milestone for Vietjet and marked the increasingly strong comprehensive strategic cooperation with the US.

In 2017, during his official visit to Vietnam, President Donald Trump witnessed the signing of the first order for 100 737 Max aircraft between Boeing and Vietjet. At that time, President Trump suggested that Vietjet order 100 more aircraft. Following this suggestion, Vietjet executed the contract to increase the number of orders to 200 aircraft.

This year, 2025, the first year of President Trump's term, 14 737 Max aircraft will be delivered by Boeing to Vietjet. It is known that billionaire Phuong Thao also welcomed President-elect Donald Trump to attend APEC Week 2017 at her Furama Resort in Da Nang. At that time, President Trump gave a speech to more than 4,000 prominent business leaders and politicians from 20 economies.

Currently, Vietjet has strategic agreements with leading corporations such as Boeing, GE, CFM, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell... with a total value of nearly 50 billion USD.

In addition, approximately $14 billion in deals are being discussed, which would directly create nearly 500,000 American jobs.

In addition, Vietjet also cooperates with leading technology corporations such as Microsoft, Amazon Web Service, Apple, Google...

Vietjet is also in talks with billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX and several providers of in-flight internet technology solutions to serve its fleet of hundreds of aircraft, boosting its high-tech workforce and ushering in a new era of innovation.

Vietjet started as Vietnam’s first private airline with a fleet of three aircraft when it was founded. Today, Vietjet operates 115 new, modern, fuel-efficient aircraft, with more than 400 on order. Hundreds of modern US aircraft will be delivered to Vietjet in the near future.
