To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on the evening of August 30, in Mu Cang Chai commune, Lao Cai province, the "Golden Season Festival" 2025 and the special art program "The Golden Color of the Mountains - The Echo of the Fatherland" took place.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Mu Cang Chai Commune Giang A Tang emphasized that, through the journey of struggle, construction and development, Mu Cang Chai has achieved many important and quite comprehensive achievements in all fields.
Immediately after implementing the policy of merging administrative units and operating the local government at two levels, the Party Committee of Mu Cang Chai commune successfully organized the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term with the motto "Solidarity - Discipline - Creativity - Development" and the theme "Building a clean and strong Party Committee and political system. Gradually bring Mu Cang Chai commune out of poverty and become a key tourist destination of the province."
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Mu Cang Chai commune affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Mu Cang Chai are determined to preserve and honor the quintessence of national culture to harmoniously combine with sustainable tourism development associated with the spirit of "80 years of glorious revolution - Independence Day forever shines in the name of the People - September autumn, Mong people are grateful to the Party - Mu Cang Chai terraced fields are bright yellow.
Within the framework of the program, the People's Committee of Mu Cang Chai commune also organizes a series of attractive tourism activities such as a panpipe dance competition, a beeswax pattern making competition on fabric, a rice cake pounding competition, a costume performance competition; organizing booths to display and introduce products and culinary booths, an art photo exhibition "Colors of Mu Cang Chai"; organizing the "Mu Cang Chai Ultra Trail" Marathon in 2025 with the participation of nearly 3,200 domestic and international athletes; organizing competitions in traditional sports, folk games; weekly folk dance activities on Saturdays and many other experiential activities to serve the people and tourists.
The 2025 Mu Cang Chai Commune “Golden Season Festival” promises not only to bring a unique experience of the brilliant golden rice season, helping visitors discover the traditional cultural beauty of the ethnic groups here, but also an opportunity for the commune to arouse national pride, foster the spirit of great solidarity, foster the will to rise up, and the desire for development of the people. Contribute with the whole country to build an increasingly rich and civilized homeland, worthy of the heroic tradition and brilliant cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.
The festival is also an opportunity for Mu Cang Chai to connect people with tourists, while promoting cooperation and linkage in tourism development between communes in the region.
Also on the evening of August 30, at the Bac Ha Night Market stage, the People's Committee of Bac Ha commune, Lao Cai province held the Opening Ceremony of the "Autumn Festival" 2025 with a series of unique cultural and tourism activities; a unique combination of traditional cultural values and many new and attractive experiential activities.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of Bac Ha Commune People's Committee Pham Thi Non emphasized: "Autumn Festival" is not only a tourism event, but through special cultural and sports activities, it honors historical traditions, educates patriotism and arouses national pride; at the same time, promotes local resources and unique tourism products, attracts domestic and foreign tourists; creates breakthroughs in tourism development, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of Bac Ha.
The art program "Colors of the Highlands - Convergence of Identity" combined with the performance of ethnic costumes opening the Opening Ceremony brought to the people and visitors a deep and unforgettable impression of the hospitality and successfully portrayed the unique cultural beauty of the people here.
Also at the Bac Ha Night Market stage, on the evenings of August 31 and September 1, visitors will be immersed in the vibrant festival atmosphere with the solidarity dance, Then rhythm, Tinh lute, Mong flute dance and cozy campfire. Each performance is a unique cultural discovery journey, helping visitors fully experience the life and culture of the highlands.
Within the framework of the Festival, from August 29 to September 2, 2025, at famous tourist destinations in Bac Ha, visitors can participate in a 10km run amidst the golden color of ripe rice, enjoy the brilliant natural beauty combined with the vibrant spirit of sports; experience making traditional green rice, try your hand at making sticky rice cakes and admire the sophisticated beeswax painting art of the Mong people at Dinh Hoang A Tuong...
Coming to Bac Ha on this occasion, visitors can also immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Bac Ha buffalo market; explore the top of Coc Mountain to see the majestic panorama of Bac Ha; enjoy the beauty of winding terraced fields at Sin Cheng or hunt for clouds at Ta Cu Ty and ride horses around the village, watch the sunset on Ngai Thau hill; enjoy the highland culinary paradise with thang co, Ban Pho corn wine, sour pho... at Bac Ha market./.
