Fascinating stories

About 100m below Thien Tue cliff, there is a deep, shiny cave. No one knows when the cave was built, but people named it Ong Ho cave and associated it with many mysterious stories. Today, I slid down hundreds of steps, then bowed my head and walked over a large rock lying across the road. As soon as I stepped down the last step, I saw many people gathered to worship and the place was packed. Some elders also accompanied the group of visitors sitting on the cliff. When asking about the legend of this place, people also heard the ancients say that in the past, there was a white tiger here. In addition, on full moon nights, tigers from all over the mountains and forests gathered here, growling, making a chilling sound. From then on, people named this cave Ong Ho cave...

The way down to Tiger Cave

Most of the tourists who come to Cam Mountain stop by Thien Tue cliff, then walk down to Ong Ho cave. Mr. Tran Van Hao (73 years old, from Hau Giang ) tries to walk down the stairs to visit Ong Ho cave. When arriving at this location, Mr. Hao quickly strokes the white tiger statue that people worship in front of the cave. Mr. Hao said: "I have heard about Ong Ho cave for a long time, today is the first time I have been here. The people on the mountain also guessed that this was the most ideal cave, so in the past, tigers used to fight each other to get a place to live. Another legend says that in the past, this cave had a hermit monk. According to researcher Nguyen Van Hau, in the past, at Thien Tue cliff, Cu Da used it as a yard to teach martial arts to his disciples to fight against the French. The mysterious stories on Thien Tue cliff show that in the subconscious of the people of the South, there is a strong folk belief in the ferocious tiger that once existed on Cam mountain...

Currently, Thien Tue cliff is considered an attractive tourist destination for pilgrims inside and outside the province. Not stopping there, the locality took Thien Tue cliff as a place name to name Thien Tue hamlet on the top of Cam mountain, quite unique.
