On July 3, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held the 4th meeting of the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee, term 2023 - 2028 to evaluate the results of union activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed trade unions at all levels in the area to actively implement and concretize the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels, the theme of trade union activities in 2024. Focus on grasping the situation of enterprises and workers; pay attention to taking care of life, material, spirit, employment, implementation of regimes, policies, salaries and bonuses for workers; promptly coordinate to resolve arising issues in labor relations.
Trade unions at all levels have coordinated to resolve 3 collective work stoppages; nearly 55,000 union members have benefited from care activities of trade unions at all levels with a total amount of over 23.6 billion VND on the occasion of the Lunar New Year and Workers' Month; provided support to 7 "Union Shelters" with a total amount of over 270 million VND; approved support for 31 union members and workers whose working hours were reduced or their labor contracts were terminated due to the business's reduction of orders with a total amount of 31 million VND...
In addition, Trade Unions at all levels promote patriotic emulation movements, typically: "Good workers, creative workers", "Green, clean, beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"...; strengthen propaganda and mobilization work for union members, workers and civil servants to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; actively participate in management, supervision and social criticism; develop union members, establish trade union organizations, build strong trade union organizations and participate in Party building...
At the conference, delegates discussed, agreed and identified key tasks for the last 6 months of the year, which are: Continuing to grasp the situation of enterprises and workers. Timely coordinating to remove and resolve difficulties, problems and concerns arising in labor relations to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of employees and build harmonious and progressive relationships in enterprises.
Deploy and organize activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and the 78th anniversary of the founding of the Ninh Binh Trade Union. Continue to direct and organize well the activities of dialogue, negotiation, signing of collective labor agreements, and implementation of democratic regulations, especially in non-state enterprises.
Coordinate with State management agencies to strengthen supervision, inspection and handling of compliance with labor laws and the Trade Union Law. Focus on promoting the development of union members, establishing grassroots unions, effectively implementing the "Peak month of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, introducing outstanding union members to the Party" in July 2024; organize training on trade union work for union officials at all levels...
