The first batch of fresh coconuts exported to China through Bac Luan 2 border gate

On the morning of October 25, a shipment of 23.5 tons of fresh coconuts of a Vietnamese enterprise opened a declaration for the first time at Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch to export to the Chinese market via Bac Luan 2 Bridge Border Gate.

The shipment includes 2,430 packages with 21,870 fresh coconuts with a total weight of 23.5 tons, which were exported by Hai Ninh Import-Export Trading Service Co., Ltd. (Mong Cai, Quang Ninh) on behalf of Mekong Fruit Import-Export Co., Ltd. ( Ben Tre ). The company importing this shipment is Dongxing Huawang Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. (Dongxing - China).

Fresh coconut is a strong export product of Vietnam and this product is also attracting attention from China. After this first export shipment, the company will promote the export of this product to China through Bac Luan Bridge 2 Border Gate with the expected quantity in the near future to reach more than 10 containers/day.

According to statistics from the Management Board of Mong Cai International Border Gate, from the beginning of the year to October 20, 2024, the total weight of imported and exported goods through border gates and openings in Mong Cai City reached 1,414,168 tons, an increase of 12% over the same period in 2023. Of which, at Bac Luan Bridge 2 Border Gate, the volume of imported and exported goods reached 1,022,791 tons, an increase of 68% over the same period in 2023, an average of 3,640 tons of imported and exported goods/day. Of which, imports reached 732,219 tons, exports reached 290,572 tons.
