Fake recruitment fanpage
Impersonation tricks are increasingly sophisticated
In reality, scams often revolve around the unauthorized use of a company’s name, logo, and brand image to gain trust from candidates. Bad actors can create fake fanpages or websites, post attractive job postings, and make promises of stable jobs with high salaries.
Some cases also require candidates to pay recruitment fees, application fees, or interview fees via bank transfer or e-wallet. At the same time, they collect important personal information, such as phone numbers, bank account numbers, and even OTP codes to appropriate assets. With increasingly sophisticated tricks, many job seekers, especially new graduates or inexperienced workers, are easily trapped by fraud.
Official Information: Shield for Workers
As one of the leading investment groups in Vietnam, GELEX Group has just issued an official warning about the appearance of organizations and individuals impersonating GELEX in recruitment activities. According to records, the fake fanpage posted false recruitment information, contacted candidates via email or fake phone number, and even asked for money transfers to participate in interviews or to ensure admission.
GELEX affirms that this is a fraudulent act, not related to any official recruitment process of the Group. At the same time, GELEX emphasizes that all legal recruitment information is only posted through official channels, including:
- Group website at https://gelex.vn
- Recruitment website https://gelexgroup.talent.vn
- Only recruitment email: tuyendung@gelex.vn
The Group also affirms that it absolutely does not charge any fees and does not require candidates to provide sensitive personal information during the application process.
Faced with increasingly sophisticated fraud, GELEX offers recommendations for candidates to protect themselves. First of all, job seekers should carefully check the source of information before submitting their application or attending an interview, and only apply through GELEX's official recruitment channels.
Candidates absolutely do not transfer money or share sensitive personal information with any individual or organization that contacts through unclear channels. When detecting unusual signs, candidates should proactively notify GELEX or the authorities for timely support, thereby contributing to preventing and handling fraudulent behavior.
Experts say that when reputable businesses and corporations proactively issue warnings when impersonation occurs, it is not only a move to protect candidates, but also demonstrates a commitment to building a transparent, safe and professional recruitment environment.
