Border guards arrested two subjects transporting nearly 300 kg of drugs

(Chinhphu.vn) - On the evening of August 16, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command announced that the Da Nang City Border Guard had just coordinated with other forces to successfully destroy a drug trafficking ring from Laos to Vietnam, seizing nearly 300 kg of drugs.

Specifically, at 9:00 a.m. on August 15, in Hai Van Ward, Da Nang City, the City Border Guard Command coordinated with the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command, the Central Region Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force under the Drug and Crime Prevention Department of the Border Guard caught red-handed two subjects, NTL (residing in Hoa Xuan Ward, Da Nang City) and D.BHC (residing in An Khe Ward, Da Nang City) for illegally transporting drugs.

The seized exhibits included 295.5 kg of various drugs (including 50 heroin cakes, 80 ketamine packages and 180 methamphetamine packages), 2 cars and related exhibits and documents. Searching the residence of the suspect NTL, the forces seized 2 more guns (1 AK gun, 1 homemade gun) and 7 bullets.

Currently, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command in coordination with the Quang Tri Province Border Guard Command is organizing investigation, verification, expanding and completing procedures according to the provisions of law.
