Yesterday afternoon (September 8), after making landfall in Guangdong province, China, storm No. 7 weakened into a tropical depression and last night continued to weaken into a low pressure area before gradually dissipating. Last night and this morning (September 9), the remnants of the storm caused heavy rain in the mountainous areas of the North.

Rainfall from 7pm on September 8 to 3am on September 9 was over 80mm in some places, such as Thach An station ( Cao Bang ) 97.4mm, Ha Long station (Quang Ninh) 87mm, Tan Minh station (Lang Son) 83.5mm.

There will be little rain in the Northern Delta this morning. From this afternoon and tonight, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain. The rain will appear in waves. Thunderstorms may include lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind.

The South Central Coast will be sunny today, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, and scattered showers and thunderstorms at night. Southwest wind level 2-3.
